Marty's xr

Postby marty's xr » September 15th, 2009, 7:05 pm

Hey guys, thought i might finally pull my finger out and post some pics of my xr.

Its a 95 ef xr6. I bought it at the start of the year stock as a rock. I havent done much to it at all, but thats mainly cause i love it the way it is.
The few mods that i have done are;

Full pedders sports ridder set up + an extra coil out of the arse
Pace maker extracters with a high flow cat and a 2 1/2 red back system

Apart from that the thing is as it rolled off the production line. Its done 147 000 kms to date and is as straight as a die.

Anyways take a look and let me know what you think, cheers =)

whos doing the walls for you? the ones on my ute are pretty good and same with a couple of my other mates who get them done by redvan. Attack your tyres with thinners or something to get the tyre shine of them because walls dont like tyre shine. But wipe your brown ones over with thinners and they will come up white again... orrrr get a brush and some graffetti remover for delicate surfaces and dab it over the wall and that will pretty them up also. with the thinners though dont like rub them just wipe the wall in one stroke if that makes sence.

yeah redvan did his walls. We made a day of it by sitting there with our cars watching the fella do it lol

Marty can explain whats happened properly, but i thought it was something to do with his type of tyres (sounds a bit of a weak reason/excuse)?

go redwalls marty, we can start a redwalls group eventually lol

Knew youd post something brad, so Ill speak for marty, seeming that he is working nightshift up at rayman terrace and doesnt get to much time. but im sure he'll reply after me

He used Redvan. First time they went off the guy said it was because of the oils in the tyres. He bought new naykan(?) tyres and had run em in as the guy said to do. he re-did them with a different paint to see if it would fix the problem. short answer, it didnt. so marty will probs get redwalls now

hey guys sorry ive been missing out on this convo, very rude of me! What bng said is exactly right. Ive had my tyres on for nearly 3 months now but oil is still seeping out of them which is causing the white wall to go brown, aka very gay. The guy from red van has been good about it tho, he tried a different paint the second time free of charge but that clearly didnt work so he's going to put a red wall on, free of charge as well. Hopefully that will be happening late next week :grin:
And yes wade my car is missing that little stick that lets you select 5 different gears!
