hey people. thought i'd start a show room thread of my nc fairlane ghia. i've posted half these pics in mi intro thread but meh
its pretty much standard, 5ltr, lowered a touch, on 19" GT-P's with mandrel bent 2 and a half inch exhaust with some kind of sports muffler.
not too much planned for it from now on, pretty much done everything i wanted to do to it. gettin windows tinted wednesday.
idealy i'd like it a bit lower but looks alright as is now so meh, can wait for some other time to be dropped more.

how i got it:

as it is now:

thinkin bout sellin the wheels to get me out of debt. they r in great condition except for one with a bit of gutter rash on it. also maxxis tyres that cost 300 each i put on about 2 months ago. not worn at all.
if ur interested pm me an offer, if i can get the right price i'll get rid of them, if not i'll keep them.

cheers

RACV insured my EL with the GTP's on, they didnt care?

Keep them on, or slam it on the standard rims.

Not too bad actually. What is the deal with these sorts of plates anyway, have always wondered? They as expence as full custom or what?

I paid around $200 for a previous issue plate. If your lucky and know someone at VicRoads you could get a newer plate cheap cheap.

yeah i was thinkin of the white with green so it looks old school but i think that when the number plates went to N** they went to the style they r now...??? dunno
i was thinking of NCIIV8 as a full custom one's but they were gunna be $600 so thought i wouldnt bother with plates, then i thought about that and jumped onto v plates site and saw they were available so thought why not?
these set me back $295

classic au - go to: www.vplates.com.au and look around, it gives ya all different options for ur style and how u want them etc etc...

Looks good man, think it was around the same when I got the plates for the Fairlane (ED's factory reg) but Green on white would have looked crap on a BF. yours looks nice with the blue and white though, its a nice contrast.

thanks mate. i tried heaps of different combos and this one just seamed to work the best with the car. black with white was no good i thought. suits other cars but. white with green writing suits the older style cars no matter wat colour but.

Nice car mate it looks like its loved i havn't seen a clean one off these in yonks.

Keep the big rims and just slam it.

don't know if its your thing but big chrome deep dish rims with airbags would really set it off.

yeah, was considerin ultra's.
luxo 8, that looks awesome! definately goin to go ultras now, was already thinkin that. lol its all or nothin. wats it ride like with them? i already got shortened shocks in the rear but was wonderin if i need different struts for the front?
mr ef, i'd like bags but dunno bout chrome rims and dish. they arent bad but i'd need to find a set that i really REALLY like to consider it.

stickin with these rims now, i put my old original ones on the other week and they looked crap compared to these.
