shit thats pretty good when i get this thing going right and tuned to the best the guys in mildura can do (which is not that much) i will be taking it down to maztech to anthony rodrigues he used to tune my xf MPRESV when i owned it he should get it going pretty well

sounds like a good plan, 250 rwkw is still pretty damn quick for a street car. and still being a cruiser at the same time.

the closest strip to me is our local its only 1/8th mile so will prob never find out but im not to concerned with that anyway as long as it has a good dose im happy

you prob don't wanna know the guy i sold it to got rid of it to some **** head and him and his wanker mates thought they could make it heaps more powerful put a massive cam in it and boosted **** out of it blew the turbo that i had put on only about 7months before that fixed that by putting another one the same on (lucky for warranty) but it wouldn't run properly with the cam so he cracked the shits and sat it at his dads place where sofar a motorbike has fallen on the front gaurd and a dog lives on the karnt i haven't seen it thank god or i would cry lol but a mate seen it and reakons if ya bought it of him you would pretty much have to reshell it, he ripped the boot install out to modify for a vn commodore and the seats are full of burns, needless to say the guy is an absolute moron that i still want to beat senseless for destroying an absolutlet stunning car, when i had it it hit a rabbit at 200 + and destroyed the front bar but got one excact the same made from a brand new genuine ford bar, so if i had of known the guy i sold it to would just sell it to this wanker i would of kept it :banghead:

touched up the cooler piping today as it was painted black and most of the paint had peeled have got a guy making all new piping but he only does it when he has a chance at work so it may take a long while anyway looks better now

just had a mate come around to have a look at the car he has a black eb 5.ol with big side mount super charger and about 30grand worth of drive line he is building, also ha a hz ute with 336 stroker and all the good gear on it he wants to swap me the ute for the ef cause his eb body isn't the best and wants to swap his running gear into mine pretty tempted as the ute is pretty quick and only needs a tailpipe for rwc dunno what i should do yet dunno if i want to part with her yet

keep the EF, soo much time and effort. the last one you said got sold and destroyed (i had seen the car in magazines and loved it) the last thing you want to do now is sell it off only to have the whole motor etc removed to fit a supercharger... just find him an EF/EL on ebay.. surely under $1000 can pick him up a unrego'd fairmont or if he is lucky a ghia...

well my hopes of getting down to AFD to have a look and meet some of the others members have been shattered as the karnts that built my motor are to dumb to do it so the head is off again and they are going to try again cause apparently it is to difficult for them to get right after taking 2 months to build it the first time i should of just built it myself i knew this shit would happen

sounds like what i heard lol but i thought since it took so long it would be right not slapped together like it was a rushed job :shock:

but on the + side they are fixing it for nothing and paid a guy to come check it out rather than me remove the thing again

the old saying rings true here "If you want somthing done rite, you have to do it yourself " thats why I never payed any one to work on my cars. not to mention I save 3/4's of the bill on labour costs.. tell em you want a refund and do it yourself..

ute is no longer an option unfortunatley went to see him to organise swap but he got a farkin good offer and sold it (for way to much lol) but on the plus side my motor will be back together this weekend minus a sump that i now need a new one of as it somehow has a big piece missing from around a bolt hole and the oil return from turbo has has split around the dodgey welding that one of the previouse owners had done so if anyone has an ef sump with oil return on it the don't want pm me

Just get one from the wreckers and weld a nipple to it, lot easer to do while the sump is off the motor..

got the head and all back on her now changed the engine mount that went from good to farked with one start up ??? just waiting on my sump went to wreckers but they said they couldn't get one off today for me

and a mate from work is goin to bronze the oil return in for me so hopefully tuesday night i can put that back on (fingers crossed)

i have decided some higher power is against me, everything i do on this car something seems to go wrong, when i had it apart the first time i bought some ngk iridium plugs and one was different than the other five and they had to order one in so i put std plugs in her, now i have it all apart again i thought i might put them in now. i get to the last plug and there is a farked old used plug in the brand new box, apparently no qaulity control at bursons :banghead:

not to mention a little spanner slip when doing the engine mount that resulted in a dislocated little finger

just about back together again hopefully no drama's this time, few progress pics

and when i was putting her back together i found a big source of my oil leaks this is a pic of what im guessing is an oil gallary as it goes through to oil, that the thread is stripped out of and there is now nothing blocking it "looks like engine builders will be sending old mate back out to re tap this to

just have to get the sump off sexyr6 "thanks mate" and put front back on tubo a little bit of piping and ready to fire again, found top dead centre and retimmed it again incase not done properly last time replaced leads again with some 10mm pro comp series leads and put the ngk iridiums in re checked the coil pack so hopefully no miss fire this time

also had a good look at the turbo while it is off it is a t4 rotary turbo with 1.15 rear housing and .60 front have been advised that this should still be fine with the 4.0l just not to pump to much psi through it

ok shes fully back together, dodgied up the sump to fire it up tonight

fired it up and once again running like shit sounds like an old grey fergie on a bad day and filled the shed with fuel smoke in about 5 seconds but according to the brand new gauge on the reg it had fark all fuel pressure, just about ready to give up, but on the plus side there are no oil leaks anymore, think its about time i call in a favour from my mate who plays with this kind of shit allday, any ideas of where to start before i do call on him would be great

shouldn't be it is definatley fuel smoke not oil smoke and its only since the motor was rebuilt
