Burning dvds.....

hi all

just wondering if anyone knows how to burn movies ect onto a dual layer dvd? i can using dvd shrink onto a single layer just because it gets it's own encryption, is there another program out there i can download for free preferably to burn onto a dual layer as i'm getting down to around 60% after deleting most languages and subtitles.

also how do you get movies onto your ipod?

i thought dvd shrink does dual layer? i know it rips it onto your computer...

i'm pretty new to it all but from what i understand it shrinks it(compresses it) to a standard 4.7GB dvd, then it rips it to your computer.

dvd shrink will allow you to do dvd 9, just go into the settings and look for it. eg. edit>preferences>dvd-5 drop down box. select dvd-9.
i used to use dvdshrink along with anydvd, but now i use dvdfab platinum. its also got the choice of dvd size, and it allows you to reauthor the dvd eg main movie and english 5.1 only, but keep the menus. most dvds are above 90% when done like this.

as for the ipod thing you need to have itunes to put them onto your ipod. i think it converts some formats for you, but i prefer to use boilsoft 3gp ipod psp mp4 converter, either that or winxmedia dvd mp4 converter. i think winxmedia is better, havent used them for a while though.
