F6 Cruise 07/02/10

Postby Sunboost » February 7th, 2010, 6:22 pm

Yoo..

Just thought I'd post some pics up of the 1st start to finish cruise I been on in probably 3 years lol.

F6 cruise, starting in Epping then headed down Beach Rd. towards Portsea, ending up in Portsea then turned around and went up to Arthur's Seat.

Lots of second gear slide action, whooshing, whistling and 300+ KW cars with some decent kit :D

I was probably the slowest in the pack :(

Yeah the guy who owns the yellow BF with TXC plates was interested in buying my old F6 ages ago. I coincidentally met up with him on Chapel a month or so ago, after he'd bought the BF, he was cruising with Oz who owns NFORCD. So yeah I knew them. I cruised to Lygon with them that night, and then met up with Paul (THRU5T) there. So I knew 3 of them + obviously I've seen ARM79 around before. The rest were friendly enough.

I had expected everyone to be older, but most were in the 20-30 bracket. Then again there weren't so many cars.

F6's are within the reach of many. Even youngins. That and old people don't seem on random cruises. Hence aff and their lack of decent cruises haha

Lol I wasn't saying it in a "they are out of reach of younger people" kind of way, it's just that I'd heard from Cranners the day before that most of the boys on XR6T forums were older.

Having said that, at least half the people who go on E-Series cruises are on green P's.

nah i know what u were saying.
i would have assumed the same as you.
but as they get cheaper it starts to break the barrier and become more common.

i remember going to a wrecker in campbellfield (when i got my BA XR6 Seats) and 3/4 of the staff that worked at the wreckers all probably in their early/mid 20's had modded F6's.

All except the FG and mine had some kind of mod, but yeah most were just later model updates like badging and wheels, nothing over the top. Mine was the only one with the original BA2-BF1 Typhoon wheels :P

Yep, the R-Spec was probably the nicest car on the cruise - with some decent mods under it too!

Always loved the white R-Specs.

I see THRU5T pretty regularly in the city on the way to work.

Yep lol. I headed back out and caught up with them about 15 minutes after I saw you, stayed at Knox for a bit then cruised out to the highway. Was good fun :D
