EL seats into EB

Postby JUZXR8 » November 11th, 2007, 7:41 pm

hey guys,

looking at keeping the XR now after yesterday mornings events and im loking at fitting EL XR6 front and back seats and door trims into my EB. I was just wondering whats involved in doing this. It looks like the front seats have the same bottom rails, but what about the rears?
i also know that to fit the trims on you have to bend the door lever or something? whats the go there?

these are the seats-----> http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11197855

yes i know they are from FF, but i like the seats :lol:

cheers

Back seats slip straight in, and the back rests will bolt up fine except for the catch pin that clicks them into the upright position (i just took my pins out to save the hassle). Front seats are a bit more tricky, the rear inner seat mounts are about 2-3 inches higher off the floor than the EB mounting point, so you will either haveto slip in a spacer to make up the difference or weld in a section of the bracket used on the EF/EL floors. I have also heard of people swapping over the rails on the seats but have not personaly done this so i dont really know.
