Here's a pic of the one I saw, this one was from Gurkhan Ozkhan, the boxer :P...

My EA was parked outside with the windows down during the rain and I was outta the house, had to call my brother and get him to close the windows, first time it was parked outta the garage in about 3 months and this bloody happens! No damage on it though, Rips' typhoon and Sunny's EA were parked next to it as well no damage on theirs either luckily. Sunny's mum's car copped it in Nunawading, he said you couldn't really notice it while it was wet, so now i'm paranoid about my car, will have to have a proper look over it tomorrow :S

Yerpppp licking the big one hard. Bonnet's a definite gonner but front guards, one rear guard and a door should be able to be popped out by paintless dent removal (they are going be raking the $$$$ in from now to Xmas). I'll sit on it for a month or so and when things die down with PDR I'll get someone down to fix it. Should come up under the value of a year of insurance + claim excess :this: Roof is looking OK for now, because it's kind of thin it looks like hail has just bounced off it. Fingers crossed it looks OK during daylight :beg:

There is more than this, this is just one part of the boot lid at one angle, change your angle and you see heaps more and others disappear.

VX Berlina. Every time some accident damage gets fixed on it, it cops some more somewhere else.

Looks like it's going to need a good cut and polish after this as well.. hail is sharp and scratchy also :(

as far as I am aware actual proper panel beaters can proberly suck them out with something. Otherwise most smash repair mobs will op for panel replace and paint which means insurance companies may try to write yas off.

Guy I work with purchased his son a 09 Subaru Imprezza last year for his birthday, and he came into work today and told me it's probably going to be written off because of the massive pot holes in the roof, bonnet and boot lid. Did a pretty nasty job apparently.

    Not a happy chappy.

We had a bit of it over in Dandenong but they werent the Golf Ball sized ones. We had marble sized ones but they were enough to take chips out of the ED and leave a small dint in the roof, not too bad due to it getting a respray soon anyway. fairlane was in the garage thank **** though :|

well my work copped it pretty bad about 50-60 of our stock cars (brand new cars and some used) which are jaguars, range rovers, land rovers and volvos all got damaged.
had 4 cars that were supposed to be deilvered today but they have hail damage.
now i have the fun part of removing the rooflining's so the dent doctor can get in there and fix them.
but good news for guys that want there cars fixed the paintless dent guys can get them out but need to be able to get the the area ie. rooflinings removed and under bonnet lining. but in saying that good luck getting in to get them to do it.
we have one guy that will be with us til our cars are finished then he is going to mercedes to help them then to bmw and he said he has enough work to last him til christmas at least.
also had a customers car that was very very bad i wouldnt be suprised if they write it off the dents on it were huge not just little like our stock cars they were massive and dent doctor said he couldnt touch it.
    cheers josh.

I've been towing hail damaged cars the last few days and there is some real badly damaged ones, most of them coming from rowville/ferntree gully.

Had a '09 VE Calais smashed rear & front windscreen, every panel was rooted seriously looked like someone had let loose with a golf club.

Has anyone had their car assessed yet? I want to know how you go with hail damage to the bonnet and roof.

    What are you hoping for?

Mine's getting assessed this week apparently, although having said that, I was supposed to have been given a time and day on Friday, and still haven't heard anything.

i spoke to the dent guy and he said if the car has smashed glass or plastic (like tailights or headlights) the dents are to big for him to fix and panel shop will charge heaps to do it and i wouldnt want the car if panel shop gets it.
theyll either put a roof on it or if theyre dodgy bog/fibreglass it which the car will never be perfect again imo.
if theyre smallish dents then itll be an easy fix.
    cheers josh.

I just want to know how stringent they're being with damage. I've got damage to the roof and bonnet so wondering if they can fix hail damage to the roof easily (got a sunroof too) and if they replace the bonnet or what.

My girlfriend's car goes in today but her's copped an absolute hiding so will no doubt be a write off.
