Its official. Winton Motor Raceway will be holding a one day event on Easter Saturday called "Last minute Nats"

Should be a big event considering the amount of people getting behind it

This is email I got from Adam Ronke today. Adam has gone in to bat for everyone disappointed over Easternats being cancelled and needs as many people as possible to support this event so lets all get behind him and make it a success.

THIS EVENT IS 100% GOING AHEAD!!

Entry forms will be on the Winton and Performance Car Mania Website tomorrow. Lets get plenty of support, I have stuck my neck on the line to make this happen....

The LastminuteNATS is an event put together by Adam Ronke at Winton Raceway to try and give the car enthusiasts somewhere to go this Easter.

Saturday 3rd April 2010
9:00am until 9:00pm

The Event will consist of:

Burnouts
Powerskids
Drags
Cruizin'

There maybe Drift events, we are just looking at time constraints at the present. Please everyone remember that these events take months of planning, and this one is very much a LAST MINUTE event.

THIS EVENT IS 100% HAPPENING!!

Entry Fee for Competitors: $150
Garages $80 per car
Powered Carports $40
Spectators $20 each
Camping $15 per head per night

Bar and Kiosk facilities will be open.

Registration and Scrutineering will take place from 12noon Friday, Camping will open from 10am Friday.

I made this viewtopic.php?f=28&t=14505 but didn't realise that there was a thread on here already.

But knowing Adam he doesn't do shit half assed. Winton has proven itself with performance car maina, Drift Attack, and Numerous Fun Days etc. The Site is well set out for the event, with the drag strip being pit straight, power skids happening out of the S bends and the old pit lane being a skid pan.

Good thing about the pricing is that Winton underwrites its own insurance through AASA and the track is always in Top condition due to the CAMS requirements for the V8s.

So hopefully people don't **** him over, because hes already having second thoughts cause of what happened last night.

i think the kind of people that will turn up to winton and the kinda of poeple that rocked up to the riot will be of a very different calibre...
i know spring nats has its fair share of piss head bogans that cause trouble, but i think the last minuteness of this event plus the location may help in weeding out people who are not there for the right reasons

We have been working with authorities to try and resolve a number of issues and have just run out of time.

When the concept was proposed last week it was a genuine attempt to provide an alternative to the cancelled EasterNats event, however, following meetings which occurred as a result of the response to the a recent event in Melbourne, the consequence of which has changed the thinking of the authorities in relation to the running of the Last Minute Nats at this time.

We apologise for any inconvenience and I assure you that this will not affect any future events and I have an assurance from the authorities for their support when running similar types of events in the future.
