AUI Fairmont tickford ghia

Postby EDFAIRY » March 28th, 2010, 8:42 pm

As the title says my pop has a AUI Fairmont tickford ghia built for the managing director of ford NSW he brought it from ford with 6000k's... Anyways i was just wondering whether or not it was anything special as it has the full tickford bodykit as well as all badging and rims too and haven't yet seen another like it i can supply pics if necessary.

Cheers, Connor

August 1998 would make it a AU Series 1 Ghia. It would be one of the absolute first as well with that build date.

Looks very clean.

Well by my Pops standards it is. i got a little more history on it too apparently it was built for the state manager of VIC ford until the new fairlane come out but i can't prove any of this but i cant imagine my grandparents lying about but the car salesmen is a different story

Should be a nice cruiser mate, they have a very comfy interior. My old man had basically the same car, but in a series three. It was ordered for the director of city ford apparently, and had every possible options besides V8 and sunroof. So was a VCT with sat nav and momo leather everything. Was an awesome car, until the garage burnt down and took the car with it! :(

Don't listen to all the haters on here mate, take the AU! It's a much better car to drive than an E-bucket, I can guarantee that! Plus, being a Ghia, it should have IRS on it as well, which I think is a better setup than the later BA's. Also, everyone on here is blind, the AU interior is much better, especially the Ghia!

Thanks guys will have a chat with him about it tomorrow...

Just a question is it common with these for the premium sound system to go to shit its either that or when they fixed the psngr power window they F***ed the sound system cause now only the front works and the ones in the rear dont work...
