Falcons in weird places

Postby Sunboost » April 7th, 2010, 2:25 pm

Yoo,

I've always thought spotting Falcons overseas has been pretty cool since I saw a NC Fairlane in India about 7 years ago. We've seen on these forums through the years an EB Ghia running a Toyota Surf motor and also a EA S Pack photographed outside Wembley Stadium (I think) in the England.

I'm sure there has been more, but I've forgotten them.

Anyways today, bored at work I came across a long-forgotten failed venture that Ford had with the Hong Kong taxi industry 10 years ago, just before the Dedicated Gas (now known as E-Gas) Falcons came out.

Anyways, I thought if anyone has any links to pics of Falcons etc. overseas they should all be posted in this thread.

We all know Falcon's were available in South Africa.

They even used them as Hearses

Would want to have a hard top on that ute if it started snowing! ha!

Last night I was watching some recorded tv. There was an AU (ex V8 Supercar perhaps?) on a 5th Gear episode, in a 24hr challenge Tiff did in England. He wasnt driving it and there was no info about it, but it was in the same race.

In the March 04 edition of Wheels they took a BA XR6T to Europe. They drove it from Italy, through Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, France and then to the UK. It's a good read and there's some nice pics. I'll do some scans later if I cbf.

Saw this at the airport in Fiji-

The bonnet was up and there were about 5 guys standing around it, couldn't tell if there was something wrong or if they were getting a tour of the exotic Ford from Australia.
