Replacing Engine

Hey all, I have an Ef 4.0Iohc the head cracked and its just gonna be easier to get a new clean motor under the hood, what would be the best ideas
will a ba xr6 fit in or an au tickford?

AU non-VCT motor with low Ks will do the job.

BA xr6 is the same motor as a standard BA, they will bolt in with a few mods to the A/C piping, bonnet ribs underneath the bonnet, and the accellerator cable but its getting it running that will be the expensive part at least $600 for a flash tuner as well as sorting out how to run it in terms of standard ecu or aftermarket ect.
AU motor would be the way to go, something like a AU xr6 HP engine if you could get your hands on one.
