You got me thinking for a second there so I went and had another look at it and I'll deffinatly need to move it to fit the cooler in the front, even with the scorcher bar.
I think EF/EL owners have it a little easier when it comes to turbo, you have more room in the front of yours.

galapogos01 wrote:Damo wrote:modded shock hats
?? you mean pedders style shocks with lowered spring seats? tell me more!

Steady the MARTYR! wrote:Nah, he means the rear upper shock mounts extended.
Two pairs, chop a bit off each, weld together to extend them, so shock travel isn't reduced as much when lowering.
I gots genuine SVO ones

galapogos01 wrote:see turbo area for a thread about moving the receiver dryer forward in EA/ED so you dont have to make custom pipes. looks promising, cant believe more people havent done this.

You could also use washers to space them up, but the problem there is there's not much thread on the studs.

Steady the MARTYR! wrote:XRated- nah, they were made/welded by SVO, Johnny Z got them out of an SVO wreck or some shit, then I stole them from him when he put EDGHIA back to stockish.
Got an SVO sticker and everything
Did the comfort in the rear-end improve much?

Sundeep wrote:Yeah I wouldn't mind doing that and then fitting the Comfort Gas shocks I have sitting in the shed. I have some spare mounts in the ED, I'll pull 'em out. Been thinking about it for a while.
The ride quality in the back end of both EA's is pathetic to say the least.
How much higher are the SVO ones?

Rollin wrote:Soft shocks = crap on lowered cars. Get some pedders (BI6TIM will no doubt recommend a set to suit) of some koni reds, or even something from Bilstine, and throw the (anti)comfort shocks in the bin.

galapogos wrote:i also want more lowerage in the front (currently kings superlow), but i think ultralows will be too harsh of a ride... id get pedders with lowered spring seats but thats probably expensive too.
