Hello people. My name is Ben, a friend of mine suggested I join this site because he is sick of me asking him questions about falcons.

My first car was a centrepoint 5 speed ea s pack... then I bought a tickford xr6 ed, with the the pointless wing and big side kits, DAMN I liked it though. But I sold it because the money I would need to spend on turboing it to do tens, I could spend on a starndard r1 and have change. Now I've got that out of my system I am foaming at the bit to get back into another e series. My current daily is a standard 99 au.

So... my biggest predicament atm is wether to get a mates eb II xr8 or a eb/ed xr6. I am leaning towards buying an xr6 manual but my mates xr8 is growing on me, only prob is its an auto. How hard is it to come by a 5 litre bell housing? Or manual conversions?

This is the xr8 - its a genuine xr8... is it normal not to have the twin headlight front?

Hi, welcome to the site.
I reckon you should get another eb/ed xr6/8, cause they are an awesome car!
and to answer your question, eb's didn't have the twinlight front, only ed xr6/8 had the twinlight front.

If your going to boost it ... The auto is stronger.. T5's fail with any boost ...
T5/6's are getting cheaper now second hand..
My son went through many T5's.. I told him the more power you have.. An auto is more fun..
He fitted a stout C4 .. Says its the best thing he's done..
Runs constant 11's..On stock AU engine...
No worries...

OOPS... did i steal someone else's name??? lol. Haha but I am a real butcher.

That red xr looks awesome, bit too far away though I am in Brissy QLD.

Thanks for the advice, later on tonight I am gonna have a fish around the forums for more ideas.
