Recommend me a stereo installer, onsite or SE suburbs

Postby private9 » May 24th, 2010, 9:31 pm

Hey Guys,

Just wondering if anyone's used any stereo installers over this side of town. I would get in touch with SPHELL but I don't think he's doing it any more.
Not looking for anything fancy, just a bolt up in standard locations.

The car's a VX Commo, and I need installed front and rear speakers in standard locations, double din head unit, CAT10 controller, screens in rear headrests, 3 amps and subs already in a box.

After recommendations that people have personal experience with please.

Thanks,

Justin.

Friendly guys, but they wired up my headunit with the speakers incorrectly and told me I didn't need my FM booster (for Euro cars) anymore - now my FM reception is very average and my aerial no longer receives power - funny that.

I couldn't be f'd going back there because if they can't do something basic then I don't want to waste anymore of my time. I should have just done it myself in the first place. I'm nervous to see how it's been wired behind the scenes but I should get around to checking it out.

Justin, I reckon you're better off finding a guy on the forums who knows what they're doing and takes pride in their work to do it. Otherwise there is a place in South Melbourne (forget the name) that is supposed to be the bee's knees. They were booked out for two weeks in advance when I wanted to get mine done there. I'll see if I can find the name.

EDIT: Just seen your post on Mobile Electronics - I was going to recommend jumping on there!

I know its not on ur side of town but i got my subs done at GL Pro Sound on keilor road. They created a custom box for me and carpeted everything! Did an awesome job. They re a lil pricey but for the work they did well worth it!

If its just a simple job, then check out the guys at Tower Audio http://www.toweraudio.com.au/html/contact_tower_audio.html. They did the first setup in my AU, and had no issues with it. They were reasonably priced too.
