introduction

hi my name is richard. i own a 95 ef series2 gli station wagon. it is white in colour. i have owned it for around 2 and a half years. this year i have done the following to it. cd player with ipod conection, gas conversion, personalised plates, (dikyby), ed xr 5 spoke rims, new tyres, new exhaust, removed the window tint, (it was stuffed), new front shocks, reco auto trans, debadgeing. future plans are for new window tint, replace the drivers side doors, (damaged by hitting a kangaroo at 85 klms), fix 2 small patches of rust, repaint the car white, lower it, fit an xr6 station wagon bodykit, maybe replace the engine with one from an xr6, fit a full fairmont interior, replace all the speakers and a roof mounted dvd player for my 3 girls on road trips. the plan is to personalise the car without having to get engineers certificates, and without making the car copbait!

Desire isn't driven by the heart, the mind or the wallet. Desire comes from another place. It's created by the smell of burnt fuel under full throttle and the look a car gives you when you're washing it alone at night...

The best invention since sliced bread! I've got girls 3 who sit in the back watching their own DVD which they wear cordless headphones with Dora, while "The Wife" sits in the front with her own DVD player and screen!

im located in croydon vic. i have just put a deposit on a 97 el fairmont in metallic blue, (not sure of the colour name). it has only done 158,000klms. it is absolutely imacculate. i should have it home next weekend. it was an ex telstra company car. the guy who drove it has always garaged it and babyed it. and it is a fantastic drive. its dual fuel. i will post up pics of both the cars together when i get it home. i have decide not to reregister the falcon this year. i will remove all the bits i spent money on, and probably sell the rest as parts. the fairmont is a far better start as a project. it doesnt need to be resprayed, the interior presents as new as when it left the factory and the alloys have barely any marks on them. previous owner was very careful of where and how he parked the car. there are no shopping centre car park marks on it at all! i plan to swap out the cd player and the personalised plates from the falcon. im also going to put my new tyres and mags away in the shed for later use on the fairmont, (fairmont has new tyres and exhaust). i will end up selling the gas conversion from the falcon, (it was only installed new in march this year). probably sell the auto tranny as well, (it was installed in april this year and has a 2 year 40,000klm warranty from the supplier). when the finance is approved for the fairmont, i will post up parts for sale from the falcon on this site and also ford forums, which im also a member of. crossing my fingers the new car, (DIKYBY) mark 2 will be home end of next week.
