Yeah I reckon....same with falcons though, XR6t 'with just valve springs, intercooler, injectors and tune' etc. $$$

Michael - you ever done a cam in an LS1 before? It's not a small job...

Yes i would imagine it would be a fair big job on one of these motors.
$4000 for 400+bhp seems to be pritty good money for value imo.

think about it, the car is worth how much?
don't ya think $4000 on an e-series (or any other cheap shit car) would be alot more bang for buck?
that would have a turbo on and breaking the 200 mark right?

Well i dont think you can realy compare a e series to a VE Maloo as you could buy 25+ e series for the price of one Maloo
I havnt seen any Boss motors or any ford EFI V8 make the power these things make for the same cash.

not as funny as someone spending 4gs on a windsor and getting 200kw!

it adds up pretty quick, but its still good value. maybe not quite as good as a XR6T but better than a boss motor etc.

Michael - you ever done a cam in an LS1 before? It's not a small job...

yeah john cams the $$ bit. exhaust is easy but the cam is the killer

yeah XR6T seem easy to get power but to good , reliable power it gets pricey

$2000 - intercooler set up + extra for fitting
$900- tune
$1000 valve springs and fitting
$2000 exhaust
$1000 wastegate and actuator

well havnt done much to this yet. took off the mudflaps off, took off the wind deflectors.
ordered my exhaust this morning so i should see that tomorrow :yahoo:
car was meant to go on the dyno this arvo but due to a rear wheel bearing (i thought it was a handbrake issue) so was unsafe to put on dyno.
wheel bearing is getting fixed through holden under warranty tomorrow. hopefully dyno will happen friday and hope to fit exhaust friday night.

Supposedly all you need to fix the axle tramp is a harrop diff hat. Changes the mounting points on the back of the diff..... that's what ive heard anyway.
