Haha, I don't know if I would want to buy it after you've driven it all the way down from QLD! Would at least need new rear tyres! :P Seriously though, if it wasn't for the headfvck of having to re-register it and all that, I would almost seriously take up that offer! That is now the kind of car I will be looking at instead.

That’s true Gozza, a normal person would. As has been well established though, I am not normal! I couldn’t trust myself knowing that the power is there, and it would only take one moment of brain fade in a car like that to do some serious damage. Yes, I can kill myself in any car, but in one as quick as that it is too easy. I don’t even want to think about how bad it would be trying to do something stupid in the rain in that car!
Nope, I think I will stick to what I know. The AU 220 I had was enough to keep a smile on my face, and also out of the surrounding scenery! Sounded awesome too. I like that sound much more than what the BF sounded like.

My mum bought and AUII XR8 (new) and ended up ditching it coz she couldn't contol herself. She traded it for a slower car. She got the shits with the lack of power so she ended up trading it for a BAII XR6T. She loved it and decided she'd just exercise caution and use cruise more. Happy as.

Get some advanced driver training, buy whatever tickles your scrotum and just decide before you jump in that you're not going to do anything stupid. It's easier than it sounds, especially when you're actively saving fuel and you're relaxed puttering along at low revs listening to the exhaust burble away.

Todd, some how I think your old lady has a bit more restraint than I do! I know I will regret not getting one, but I would regret death more! I actually talked to my old man about advanced driver training too, but as he put it, it’s like ‘giving Dracula keys to the blood bank!’ If I think I have the stills, then I am going to want to test them.

As for you other two clowns, how about no. I don’t even think I could fit my left arse cheek in one of those Copens!

What about something like a BF XR8 - they're pretty slow, have virtually 0 easy power potential and are a bit less poxy than an AU!

I also know of a cheap T2 but it needs a bit of a tidy up.

Ouch, this thread got a little harsh again! I haven’t been told I should kill myself since high school! :P

No, no, I have already decided. A boosted Falcon is not right for me, I am too immature. I saw that whole stability control thing too Josh, but the problem with that is there is also a little button on the dash for “Off” as well, and I can just imagine the one time I do attempt something it will be off and I am stuffed anyway. I like your idea about at Boss too Justin, but there just seems to be far less of them available so they are more expensive.
Nah, like I said, I think I will stick to what I know, and I know AU. I was happy with the XR8 I had, even with the auto. I like the lazyness of if, suits me well!

I know I will Kris, after all I did bloody have one! I should have just kept it, although my old man did recon I destroyed it that day I took it to the AFF Nats though. So probably best I did end up flogging it off. I care not for leather, gets too hot in summer and is a pita to keep clean. Sunroof I could take or leave, it is just something else to go wrong after all. Wheels and exhaust I would prefer to do myself. Just need to find another nice stocker, although that is getting harder. It is definitely the kind of car I want though.

Yeah Kris, it sure does, as Josh said. Friggin picks up quick now! I hit a couple of corners like I would pre-LSD and pooed my pants a little, but should get used to it again in a day or so. Speedo is out though by about 12km/h, and she revs a bit higher at 100km/h naturally, around 2100rpm. Anyone got a 3.45 speedo gear?

Hahaha, thanks Josh! Yeah, she serves me well, I just get bored to easily. Plus I miss the sound of the Windsor!
