Booma's Beater EB

Postby Booma » August 7th, 2010, 6:09 pm

A Few details:

1993 EB Falcon
Cardinal Red
4L Multipoint engine
Pacemaker Headers
Pretty Hektic Pod Filter
2.5" Exhaust
Lowered (King Springs)
18x8 Speedy Graphite Rims
New Brakes (factory replacement by the looks of things)
5spd Manual.

The body is pretty average on this beasty....no rust, but I have seen golf balls with less dents and dimples in them. Also has a big dent in the front left guard which I am hoping to replace pretty soon!

Plans at this stage are to just use it as a daily run around car, and later down the track might do some more performance mods to it (along the lines of what my old ED had)......will be a slow project though that much is guaranteed ;)

Anyways, here are a few pics of it.......The pictures do it justice, its fair rough :P

Yeah, well, Its got a falcon S badge on the back and it seems to have an S Pack interior (which I hate :P) aswell as the red stripping down the side.
I will post up some engine bay pics a bit later on (as filthy and unpresentable as it is ;) )

Yeah, pretty happy with the stance the car has, was thinking of maybe dropping it a little in the rear, but I quite like it how its is...... I like the rims too, they are fairly common now though!

Here are pics of the ED in my DP, as requested......

Car met tree after I dropped a wheel off the black stuff while negotiating a right hand bend at 100kph......got away with only a cut hand ;)

It was pretty tidy before becoming one with nature  , had a Cam, headwork, extractors and all that, 145rwkw

Made by JAWA in Japan I think, from what I remember.....I bought them off Ebay for $800 back in the day :P. 17x8 Fronts and 17x9 Rears. I don't own them anymore, sold them not too long after wrapping that car round the tree :bye:

Not much has happened on the Beater so far. Bought an XR6 as a parts car (for the time being anyways, may work on it a bit in the future). So far it has donated rear springs and shocks, Dodgy front recaros (really need some good ones), and will be donating its lip spoiler (when I can get it sprayed the same colour) and head, cam and Pacemaker comps. Have also invested in 2 rear doors with fairmont ghia trims, 2 front guards and sunvisors from a ghia, which set me back $50 (haven't fitted to the car yet though).

Anyways, her is how she looks with the rear ride height adjustment ;)

While I am at it I guess, this is my other car....2004 BAII XR6T (6spd manual  ) Had it about a year now :)

Don't really have that kinda cash at the moment unfortunately. I do have a Very smoky Tickford engine out of the XR6 that I might get stripped stripped down and built (headwork, cam etc) when some funds become available....until then I am stuck with this tired old beater :P

Car is in a transitional phase at the moment.....didn't like Cardinal Red so it is becoming Le Mans Red (slowly  )

Anyways, all of the removable panels have gone to Le Mans Red. The 18's are gone (due money reasons...needed the cash). Thes have been replaced by AU 16's (hoping to get some 18's or 19's back on when money improves). XR6 Front and rear lip spoilers have been fitted.

Still on the tod do list is swap over the Tickford head from the car I am wrecking, and fit up the Pacemaker Comps I have just cleaned up. Also looking into a leather Recaro interior (depending on price). Also has a split radiator at the moment  so I need to replace that ASAP

Well, here are a few quick pics of how it is sitting at the moment :)

lol i had a white EA with green doors..

Image

horrible i know.. but the story goes like this

cop: we have had reports of a white car with green doors doing burnouts
us: ahhhh not us officer
cop: bullshit!
*insert white commodore with green doors screaming past after screeching wheels around a corner*
cop: get out of sight now... *cop runs back to car and takes off after commodore*

lol. 2 days later i drive down a street to see an identical white EA with mint green doors, with silver 5 spokes but slightly different style.. we bot look at each other like WTF lol

seems different colour doors are the new black

Cheers guys ;) Still pretty rough but getting there!

Picked a set of EF XR6 seats tonight, so next task is getting those in. From a mock up in my parts car, seems the front centre, and rear outside bolts line up fine, rear centre bolts need about a 50mm spacer (haven't measured yet) and front outside bolts I am thinking of welding on an adaptor plate to the leg so I can use the same hole.....will see how I go (will have a crack at it on the weekend)
