ive had to change how i drive it, higher revs on takes off etc. it can be a bit angry but no to bad.

Yeah, I knew it would be 340, they like to keep a little surprise!

It was just getting setup on the rollers when I was there, but didn't have time to stick around.

looks kind of sinister in this shot, sorta just peeking out from under the guard covers like that

bloody good result on the dyno. with similar power to your old ba does it drive much different being na?

i can certainly see why holdens are so popular really, a late model ford V8 ute is just so boring looking and sounding compared to one of these.

haha yeah con said he was thinking it would see 330 so he was surprised. he said the car responded to the underdrives i got off ya really well to, so thanks again :good:

hah yeah thought it was a good shot. it drives a bit different from what ive seen so far. it just pulls like a steam train, where as the ba would start skating once boost kicked in.
yep thats why i went one of these. im not sure what power you get from a boss motor with the same mods. i always loved hsv's so i was happy when i got to start looking for one to buy!

so not alot has happened with this. just enjoying driving it really.

i got one of those small arials, so it doesnt look like a remote control car :lol:

some new maloo badges , so rollin cant pick on the dot missing in the "a" of maloo! :wave:

and a printout of one of the runs it made 340. sounds better says it's got 340 @ the wheels than 339.3 lol

This made me remember my uncles "Sting Red" 317 Grange, and the fun times flogging him in my dad's G6ET. All the arguments when i tried to convince him that horsepower isnt the be all, it's the torque and the way the engine provides it in the rev range. On a nicer note, I like the look of the front end of the series 1 VE HSV, anything after that and I vomit every time. These things are also depreciation whores (along with falcons)! My uncle picked his Grange up for around 95k on road and hardly a year later we had a tough time selling it for 60k with only 6490km!!!

yeah well that is a fair loss on ya uncles car. althought these start at $40k on car sales at the moment i think. still a big loss from new but tho. gotta expect it tho , buying a car brand new then trying to sell it.
this goes ok for a non boosted v8. i wanna race a few xrt's and see how i go.
