The Melbeast :)

Postby Melu » August 18th, 2010, 3:31 pm

Hey guys! Been a while since I posted pics of my car since I got it. I'm still moding it as I go, it's hard to scrape together funds seeing as I'm flat broke all the time due to TAFE xD

But since I got my Reef Green EF Futura I have;

-Sprayed the stock wheels silver (Until I can get tyres on the 18s sitting in my garage!)
-Clean the headlights (No more yellow!)
-Clear taillights
-Sprayed the side indicators with nightshade
-Added some stickers :D

To be done;

-Silver mesh behind the front bumper
-Exhaust system (Sitting in my garage, Which is being put on tomorrow!)
-18inch rims
-Slightly lowered
-Sound system (eventually haha)
-Personalized number plates? (Maybe)

Any other suggestions on cheap mods would be super!

Here are some pictures for you to see!

No! I've wanted the taillights for ages and got them for my birthday haha! I love them (: Looks real different from all the others driving around haha.

Yeah lowering it is on the ta-do list (:

pHaT`eL and I both had them in our ELs for a bit and got over em pretty quick. You might not. There's a thread here full of cheap stuff you can do, but if you're a bit strapped I'd only do stuff that keeps it reliable (for obvious reasons). Extractors will cost a bit in the start but get second hand ones and it will save you money in the long run if you keep your foot off the floor lol. Or just put it on gas while you can still get a rebate.

I won't, hopefully haha! Oh yes it's on duel fuel (: I snatched up that rebate quickly, I only payed $150 ontop of it!
Hmm Extractors huh? That's an idea, does that improve fuel economy? I'll be sure to check out those threads (: Thanks!

Ummm I'm not sure what these 18s are called, but they're nice. My friend got new rims on his car so he gave his old ones to me :oops: Once they're on I'll post pics ;) He probably knows the name of them haha :P

Sorry but I have to agree with Pete/Todd, tailights are too bright. It's your car though, definately go exhaust, lower (slam it! Otherwise no point :P ) and stereo. They seem to be the first things people do :) What exhaust you got that's going on it?

Thanks everyone! Lol yeah I love the lights (:

The exhaust has been done, cost me a whopping $10 to put it on ;) Bargain! Best $10 ever spent methinks! haha.

I'll be lowering it this weekend, have a friend who is giving me the springs and such. I'll post pics when the wheels go on eventually haha.

Not yet, but probably in the next month or so.

I'm getting some 16's EL XR6 wheels from a friend for the time being because my tyres are re-treads (the guy I bought the car off did me a dodgy grrr) So soon it'll have different wheels until I get the 18's on (:

It'll be lowered in the next few weeks too, I scored springs off a friend :D

UPDATE!

The Melbeast has been lowered with Monroe(sp?) suspension and now has XR6 wheels (: They're only temporary until I can afford to put my 18s onto it, but they look waaaay better non-the less! Cost to lower car and put wheels on it = $0 ;) Man I got lucky!!
