Ok leaving this thread up now as plans have changed. And I might need a few little pointers here and there. Mostly for tuning.

Ok well was going to leave this thread blank or to be deleted. Mostly as nothing was happening to car and wasn't real keen anymore on the idea of everyone on the web knowing what's going on with my car. But yeah change of mind.

Will be getting myself some goodies over the next few weeks. Sold a car and money from that is going into this. Not going to bother writing plans. Just show it as I get parts.

Any reckon there is any benefit from sticking to 2.5" intercooler piping to match the compressor outlet? Or should I just go 3"?

hotter air takes up more space, so if you were to use 2 different sized pipes you would use 3" straight off and then step down to 2.5" but in saying this i also see it that if the outlet is 2.5" then keeping the whole lot at 2.5 wont be an issue, it will create boost a little quicker. its really person preference

Thought it may be fairly close and mostly personal preference. I see vl kits that to 2.5" hot to 3" cold and most are just 3" all around. Got the front bar on. Phone won't load the pic to photobucket so will load it up tonight with the laptop

It's a t4-2. Showed you a link to one a while ago an you said it has a gt42 sized front wheel. Giving it a crack. Rated to 1000hp and upto 35psi. So see how it goes.

hmm had a good look and cant see anything mentioned about your turbo.
looks to be a T70 or something, def not a GT42 and without seeing the comp wheel its hard to say how big it is.

i would say its more similar to a T04 of some sort.

still, as long as the wheels are of decent size and design it should do ok,

have you measured the wheel yourself?
that is indeed a GT42 comp wheel size, do you have any pics of the turbo without the cover?

measure the wheel and yeah the measurement's would be right, pain in the arse trying to get a pic with the tape measure that shows at least close enough to be able to tell. and the rear wheel to me looks to be roughly somewhere around 65mm inducer and 75mm exducer, i've got the actual size somewhere, half asleep and trying to read of my tape measure lol.

It is of eBay lol. I only plan to run 16psi anyways. If I bust the turbo I'll look at rebuilding before buying a new one. It only cost me i think about $350 delivered brand new.

it will be cheaper to buy a new turbo at that price. most shops charge you over $2000 for a GT3540 rebuild

Yeah ball bearing turbo's cost more then a new turbo to rebuild from everything I hear. But bush bearing like mine are cheap to rebuild. Prob still cheaper to buy another one but should be better with a rebuild from a good shop if it shit's itself.
