hey there all,
well i thought that i would share my car and progress with ya all....
i bought the car for 1000 bucks and it was red, i then lowered it, put a sound system in it, some wheels...etc etc
didn't do much for a while then went all out-got racing seats, 8 inch screen off the roof, AU centre console, custom sub box in the boot, ef/el door trims, electric windows up front, ef/el mirrors, twin thermos, eb engine (have a ef xr6 engine sitting in the shed ready to be turboed), xr front conversion, scorcher body kit, had 18 inch apaches but now have 20 inch wheels, adjustable pedders front suspension lots more but can't remember at present...
its a project that is still going.....well here are a couple pics of it.
also i have just got the car painted with the body kit fitted
Image
when it was red
Image
just after i got it painted with the 18's on it
Image
when i first got the 20's

heres the pic of the cars that i had in my wedding this year
Image
heres a pic that shows the seats, au console and i have also got a ba short shifter and ba gear knob...

let us know what ya think

it's an EBII-ED wheel ;) Same as saying "stock AU console????"

Should be great fun with the turb'd EF XR6 engine slotted between the rails

That's a dam fine looking EA! Looks like you have put a lot of effort into it, well done.

FWIW I preferred the 18's. :P Not a fan of XR fronts on non XR's either. ;)

$1000!? What are EA's worth these days? I bought mine with less than 200km for $300 and it just needed new shocks...is an auto though.

Looks sexier than mine after that paintjob and those rims, though.

thanks for the comments guys
haven't been on here for a while

yeah i got it in readers rides in street fords which i didn't know about til i bought the mag.
after having it in there they rang me and want to do a feature on it.....how stoked was i!!!

.....but i haven't got the engine bay painted so i told them that i will have to do that first so i have gone and got a loan so that i can finish the job.
so in the next week the engine will be pulled out to get the engine bay ready, while i am in there i am going to tidy up the wiring and get the ef xr6 engine i have siting in the shed re bulit to strap the hi flow to4 on the side and see what happens....think of painting the engine bay black...

i will post pics when i start it all to show the progress

the switches i have installed down each side of the console beside the seat so they are hidden but are nicely accessable. i have just used ef/el electric window switchs.
heres a pic, you can see beside the seat on the console the switch since this pic i have painted the surround black and looks much better

hey dude, first off the car looks beautiful. i mean absolutly BEAUTIFUL. great job man.

the au console? any mucking around to get it in. i put an el console in mine and it doesnt fit in, so i had to cut a little out of the back and the front doesnt line up with the bottom of the dash. the au one looks like a good fit in ur pic's, any trouble getting iit to fit properly??

also, the el door trims, do they fit straight on or did u have to modify them as well??
hit me back.
looks awesome man.
cheers

dude ya have to cut a bit out the front of the AU center console to make it fit, and a bit of fucking around with the air vents, as for the door trims there is a bit of screwing around, mainly because of the door handle rods, but it pays off

not much mucking around with the console just the ducting underneath i didn't use cause i didn't want to stuff around with it, an the door trims were more stuffing around but mainly because mine is an ea i don't think it is as hard to do with the eb/ed's

yeah its looking pretty good at the moment and always seems to get people attention when driving around.....keep ya all posted

Yeah, the Scorcher kit is pretty neat, its only front/rear bars and garnish though. Those side skirts are MMM without the door pods by the looks of them. Im sure someone on here knows the place where Scorcher bars are made.
