Would love a set on my turbo in black....

soooo you would pay over 4k for rims, only to have them be mistaken for every other black centre rim getting around ?

Image

If you mistake black centred simmons for every other black rim around then you're blind, retarded or both.... case in point see
tocchi's FG.... black centred simmons are porn...

Even if I bought a set of billets I'd have the centres painted black...

i dont think these parts are interchangable with the original simmons rims, example if i was to buckle my rim, would i be able to use the new outer rim on my original simmons, also do these new simmons have the simmons logo on the outer rim spoke? if not i wouldnt say that they are simmons rims, more of a very good mock up, and a very expensive one at that.

Those ebay wheels aren't Simmons, see how the spokes connect to the wheel, on Simmons/all 3 piece wheels the bolts go all the way around the rim. I'd say they're 1 piece wheels.

Yet to see a car that doesn't look fap-tacular with FR's. This thread is proof.

sounds like someone hoping to justify keeping the exorbitant cost of the 'original's up there...

Apparently all the moulds, tooling and stuff were given/sold to Tempe tyres, so in theory they'd have the same markings and holes etc

yeah i don't see any issues with it either.
Tempe sell some cheap shit, but they also sell some decent wheels.
if the majority of commodore owners want to spend $500 on their 20's then good on Tempe for making a good business choice :P

Even when Tony had them the centres were still made in China, and assembled here, Tempe is doing the same thing.
