Remps and his BF xr6

Postby remps88 » December 22nd, 2010, 11:13 pm

hey all, new to these forums.

im a p plates, first car is the one i got now. its a BF xr6 N/A in Fantasy. mods i done in my couple of years owning her include rims, lowered, intake, extractors, full exhaust, neons inside, pretty huge sound system upgrades, and some other minor stuff...

i know shes not everyones cup of tea, especially the rims. and i am in the market for some other rims to add to the collection, as im getting used to these ones.

let me know what you think, i have hundreds of photos of her, as im a bit of a camera freak, and, also, i just love my car. hahaha

cheers all,

Remps

Can't say I'm a huge fan of the rims, but I've seen worse. Sick colour though, mint as.

Brought some rims the other day while on holiday down mornington way. thought it would be handy to have a second set of 20"s lying around, more airflow than the chromies, put them on today and took a few snaps.

also, while taking off the wheels, decided to paint up the dust covers and calipers on all four, i personally think the combo with the new rims looks real sweet. let me know what you all think!

hey SHH.BA.

welcome to the amazing experiance of the ba/bf xr6 ownership. youll love it mate. haha

cheers, im loving how shes looking of recent. and dont worry, the green p's arent too bad.

my sound system, i had the premium sound system in it from the start, with the 8" factory sub and stuff. i too that out, disconected it and took down the bottom of the parcel shelf.

i got a professional to build me a custom box with two type r alpine 12""s in it. fits beautifully and i can still fit an esky and big swag in boot, plenty of room..

hooked up with the professional the wiring all through the factory screen, same controls and everything. the speakers are still stock, but the premium sound ones frm factory are pretty good and have no problems keeping up with the bass. :)

and my front guards are rolled or at least they were when i got the car, but the backs are yet to be. have no clearance problems whatsoever though luckily

yea im getting when i get some 20's and lower her im going to have to roll the gaurds.

yea i dont have the premium sound, but im assuming it wont effect wiring a subs and amps through the car.

Im going to get a custom box made aswell, i was thinking maybe getting them moulded around the edge of the boot near the tail lights, but you cant put ports in them (wont sound as good), so im going to get a similar box like yours i think.

So your just running a 1900w monoblock (4 channel im guessing) ??

Cheers man ill hopefully get some pics up soon.

yeah you should be right with the wiring mate. doesnt cost ne thing too bad to get professionals to do it either if ur not confident enough.

good move mate, i like the look of those ones mounted behind the lights, but iv heard some and its crap quality. not enough airflow and stuff.

yeah just a 4 channel mono block 1900w man. when i was gearing up for it i got told the 1200w will run it fine, no problems, but being young and stupid, the 1900w would turn heads and you will love life, so i was like.. i pick the big one! :D

some LS1, thanks man, 99% of people who dont know fords dont believe me when i saw its factory colour. haha. and cheers, they do look better.

yeah its currently despoilered, yet to get good pics. and i just got plugs in the holes. really wish i could find an xt no spoiler bootlid but its gonna be a pain to respray it at $1000 a litre...

its currently got SSL in bacvk and SL in front, and cut bumpstops. i dont think there is much more i can do (legally) to lower it. unfortunately..
