Hi All, Im Jay

Introduce yourself and your ride.

Hi All, Im Jay

Postby 089JAY » November 7th, 2010, 3:19 pm

Hi, Im Jay, I own a 94 EF Futura, 175 thou k's. Owned it for about 6 months. It's absolutely stock apart from a set of splits in the front doors, T35 Tints and tinted tail lights.

Future plans include, Pod Filter setup and CAI via flush mount bonnet vent, 2 - 3 inch drop, 2.5inch Cat back, Big Stereo, Darker Tint, EF Typhoon Kit, Oil Pressure Water temp and AFR Gauges (only because I have almost destroyed 1 motor thanks to oil pump failure), HID Kit.

I've probably missed something but noones perfect.

Heres a couple of pics.

I welcome constructive criticism and enjoy feedback.

Thanks, Jay

Welcome to the forums bud, seems like you've got half a clue with what you want from it.
I'd drop it before doing anything else to it, and you can fit a Fairmont/XR instrument cluster which includes a volt and oil pressure gauge.

I have actually thought about that, only thing I'm worried about is winding it back/forward to match the km my cluster shows

Bad luck buddy.. they seem to be finally cracking down on stuff like that up here. It was good for so long but Im hearing of more and more defects getting handed out. They're cracking down on '4WD enthusiasts' until xmas, so we were told last weekend when I was part of a cop/epa raid up at the rocks.

I used to own a little White Swift, got stickered in that, but it was asking for it. EG:the exhaust tip finished roughly 80mm off the ground. Never thought I'd get done for tinted lights though.

Hows the flood going for you jay? We got the word yesterday that Gin Gin - Childers was open so we got home while we can and luckily got the deposit back we'd paid for a motel in sunshine coast. From what I saw last night, rocky is about to be screwed, it was 8.2m this morning and lapping the bruce highway through town and its expected to reach anywhere between 9.4-10m. Thoroughly screwed.

Few things happening in the coming weeks. I got the shit's with the light on the dash telling me the Coolant Level is low when its not so I ordered Coolant Temp (so I can actually see whats going on) and Volt Gauges. Also going to try LED Footwell lights in the bottom of the dash, so when the interior lights are on the footwell's are alos lit up.

Getting done for tinted lights is bullshit provided you haven't gone overboard and blacked them out. Just the other day I saw a Commadore getting around with blacked out lights. Not with nightshades but with black rattlecan paint. Couldnt see a single bit of light coming from them when he was braking or indicating. Imo they should have some sort of light indicator test instead of just defecting everyone with tinted lights.

Get a set of ef taillights and leave em std. Win. Only way tinted tail lights look any good is if they're ultra glossy and I failed in my attempt. :P

Hahahaha, it actually got bathed for the first time since November lastnight, and there's dents EVERYWHERE now, both gaurds are being replaced shortly though. As for wheels, looking at a set of 19Inch Phoons or a set of VE GTS 19's on Spacers. Then get the steelies widened for a set of sticky's for the strip.

Hey bro, letting you know my 19's are for sale now, got a job up north so I'll only be home every second weekend to see the missus' and the falcoon. I intend on just sitting it on a set of stocko's until the week before my wedding and I'll put the new ones on. So yeah make me an offer.. you never know :P Tyres are Neutons. Front @ 80%, rear @ 60%. Rims have a bit of gutter rash on a couple of rims and a few marks on the face, and I can honestly say I didnt put them there haha.

Damien.
