yeah, its a load of shit really. They would have been able to continue the xcal1 with no more upgrades, but instead they decided to reem us and make heaps of money out of it. pity there isn't any other decent aftermarket tuners/alternatives.

So i decided to make a rear twin section for the exhaust  kinda works.. just a bit loud just off idle, it might get a little better after a while. So it goes stock over the diff then into an 18inch hotdog either side. (lh side needs to come up a touch)

Well after wanting decent brakes for aaaages i finally have some! (lets hope they're decent anyway!) Got some 4 piston Brembo's front and rear. Not sure if i'll use the rears yet i'll see how i go. All i need to do is get another braided front line as the guy lost one of them

Cheers mate, i was a little late lol, what were you in?
I chucked the front brakes on last night, they're awesome! went for a quick run up and down the hills and they pull it up with ease, again and agian. They should have had these brakes standard! pedal feels firmer which is probably the braided lines doing there job.
Not sure if i will put the rears on?? it looks mad with the fronts, but now the rears look small  depends how much difference they make to braking?

Put them on the rear too. It looks like you mean serious business with them all round. :)

What size are the front rotors?

I agree with Dan, big brakes mean business!

lol i better hey! i have a windsor in the shed with 'all the good bits' too haha fail.

Front rotors are 355mm and rears 330mm i think? Standard BA brakes are 298mm and BF (which i already had) are 320mm~
Yeah will finish it off with the rears and look tuffer, but i could sell them for $$ lol.
I got the set for $1400, but the front rotors are getting down so i will have to replace them later on. they still feel and brake fine tho.
Need to get some pics once this weather is good again..

Yeah a mate has those on his xr8, look sick! but i bet they're pricey as?? Would be good to make them lighter, they are a heap heavier then standard brakes. The more i think about it the more i want the rears.. but the money would be nice.. lol i dunno.

i got the DBA 2 piece cause they were cheaper then new stockers
was 950 for the pair to my door from hightek, i dunno what they are now, got mine ~2 years ago.
they look pretty sweet, my black alloy hats have got some funky discolouring from lack of cleaning and heat though.

get some decent pads for the 4 pot fronts too dude, if they've still go the stock ones they are shit.
i got ferodo somethings and i'd recommend them, once i remember what they are.

Yeah they're crazy.. bit of effort to get in and outa the car now lol.

I got them from my favourite place... Ebay!, some place in nsw made them. They were $500 buy it now so i thought stuff it might aswell! Came with foams and covers so i had to take mine off and put these on, was easy as to do.
I was pretty unsure about them tho cos you here storys of shitty retrims etc. but these seem to be spot on, couldn't be happier with them 8-)

Been a while.. my rear seats are just standard leather, so they match pretty well.

Ended up ebaying the 4pot rear brembo's, made profit = ebay is awesome lol.

Pretty much just been driving it, not much else, still think about going 6sp auto everynow and again. Got Shane at Immaculate car detailing to give it a cut/detail again, came up better than ever!

Yeah he's the man to see, does a mad job with the buff. He has a BA XR8 (copping a built engine) and the fairlane NFGHIA. Just gotta convince him to do my EF aswell now lol.

The 6sp stuff would be a while off cos i got to much shit goin on.. but i think the most cost effective and probably easiest way is with a donor car. That way i could put a BF engine in and go for 350+ aswell

Now, I’m just asking here, but wouldn’t the best way to go about this be to unbolt all your good stuff, sell this car stock and just buy a BF to bolt your stuff back onto? This way you could find a BF with more options on it or something, am I wrong?

Wouldn't be too hard to at least break even by buying a decent price donor car & wrecking it.

Yeah i have thought about it.. but getting a decent one (black, of course!) with the stuff this has, good km, and for a good change over price just wouldn't happen. plus then it would need to be tuned again and have all the good sht put on it, nearly as much work as a 6sp conversion lol. It only be worth around 15g standard and a BF would be 20g+ ??

not sure if you're still searching for one but there's a ZF auto with a BF converter for sale over on fullboost.com

Selling it for $2000 and willing to post might be worth a look.
