Probably be a while until i start looking into it properly, but thanks anyway.

Had an unexpected hitch hiker in the car today...
Image
Image
(mate from work holding it)

Saw this snake at work yesterday and it got away (into my front bar???) before we got a good look at it, then when i went to get luch today it was in a small garden bed infront of my car again! by the time we could get anything to get rid of it, the snake went into the bumper and hid under my cooler! We finally managed to get it out about 30min later, but then it had a fight with the shovel :)

So we still don't know where it came from but i think it must have been hiding in there atleast overnight.. i did about 100km last night too! Little bugger!

Yeah just off ebay.. i can't find the sellers name or anything but it was a trimming place in sydney i think? There are others on ebay that are supposedly good.

I replaced the power steering hose on this a few months back.. it blew an oring and made a nice mess on the way home lol.
Also had to get a new battery.. ended up with an Optima yellow top :) seems good so far (would want to be!) cranks faster and actually seems like it runs better?!

This has been missing out lately with all my time and effort going into the EF.. so thought i better give it a bit of a once over.
Have done Oil+filter, 6 new ford coils (was sometimes missing under high load), front wheel bearings and just finished doing a drivers side engine mount... massive pain in the ass!! Atleast its super smooth to drive now cos it was getting a big vibration through the car.
I will be putting new front pads + rotors on soon ($$$ stupid brembo's) and i got some territory 330mm~ vented rear brakes to put on aswell.
And i've got a reco 3.73 LSD thats been sitting in the shed for the last few months that i have to fit at some stage. Ah effort!

Not too much to update... only really done normal maintenance stuff to it lately, the rubber surrounding the tail shaft center bearing had a tear in it so I replaced that.. busted a foglight the other day too(lucky me!). New front tyres and redid the brakes with slotted rotors and FPV/Territory rears.

Annd its on carsales too lol. Not too fussed if it doesn't sell but I'll see how it goes I guess!

Yeah still running stock bottom end, still goes good. I still love it just had it for a while so thinking of a change... will be hard to get another car that has as much shit/value for money as this tho.

I'll see how it pans out might save some $$$ and eventually end up in a supercharged FPV.. but I do want to get a house some day too (missus says house, I say car! haha).

Gonna keep the plates and front seats. 8-)

Haha was waiting for that! She's pretty rough looking atm but i might chuck up a thread on it soon. Its a 4.2 petrol auto :? black etc.. picked it up for 2g.

I got 18750 for the BA, that was with a rwc only needed a couple of things and with the GTP seats that i wasn't going to include. Not bad money for a BA but it was pretty decked out!

If you want I can write you a list of how to spend $18750 on your maverick.

$2k is pretty good. Im half looking for another one and they all seem to be just as expensive when I bought my last one 5 years or so ago.

Lol i rekon i could easily spend it! I don't plan on going crazy on it, keep it pretty mild and try not to drive it too hard.
Yeah i figure i can spend some on it to bring it up to scratch, rather than getting one for 5-6k and having to do the same shit to it too.
Any idea if the auto's in them are any good? any good for 4wd'ing?
Its soo much better to drive than my old swb BJ70 Cruiser i had for a bit! Coils ftw!

Stick the plates on the EF :P

I drove a GS ute the other day (I'm buying a brand new FPV in July <3) and I tell ya, I wasn't that impressed. For the extra 2k you can have an F6 which is a way better car.

I'd have to agree, with both.

Put the plates on the EF

and I've driven the GT335 and to be honest it wasn't that great the FG F6 is much better car..

Yeah i haven't driven one yet but i get the idea they make massive power on the dyno but aren't as fast on the road as a 6t because of less torque.
I like the idea of very basic mods and 370-400kw, plus a V8 note lol. It sucks you need to get the GT to get all the FPV stuff aswell..

In what way do you think the F6 is a better car? (than a GT)

Lol I was thinking about chucking the plates on the EF, but the cops are bad enough as it is.. I dont want to give anything away :-P
