... but I reckon stay away from silver!! Bit boring.

Or a few cheap low klm CVIII Monaros to put away and an AU Ute as a daily.

I call BS on your mate alot of the times flood cars are stat write offs which means you cant re-register them... but you can buy them if i had a dollar for every flood car i saw at auctions id have enough for a W427

Maybe its to sting the knts writing their cars off on purpose, making it harder to get the wreck back?

Drowning a car is low risk for the driver as opposed to smashing it, so maybe a good oppourtunity for insurance job :p

It's not just for flood affected cars.

It was/is RACV policy not to offer the salvage back to the insured. The only time they will consider it is if the vehicle holds sentimental value or it's something really special like a GTS Monaro, HO etc..

wasn't RACV policy when my EA got written off. they offered it back to me for peanuts and payed me 4k payout. also not all flood affected cars are stat write-offs. ive seen some listed as repairable writeoff's. guess it depends how far under they were submerged.

so i couldnt be bothered making a new thread for an el so ill just include it in here.
i bought it for 2k. bit rough but spent some time on it in the last 2 weeks. coming up ok.
the plan was top tidy it up, drive it while my ute was getting fixed then sell it.
now as the ute is dead, the plans have changed. this el is proving itself as a good daily. sooo.... i will drive this while i work on the tbird i guess. no point selling the tbird as ill get fk all for it.
plans for this is drive it, ef lights, manual and el ticky kit. dont wana blow money on it really.

yeah true u being a panel beater/spray painter helps.
the owner listed a fair bit of stuff to me but yeah still very cheap.
i kinda regret not getting it but he needed an answer so i gave him one.
i recon the power might be just as noticeable as he handling from the maloo lol.

yeah when i went to look at it the car wasnt exactly as listed. a fair bit of things wernt mentioned in the add. but shit happens and ill just drive it for now.
lol well the maloo made like 245kw stock and this would be lucky to make 100kw haha so you its bloody slow to me :lol:

um well spend ages on the phone today to racv and looks like they will be paying up. the bosses wife says it will be fine and dont stress, but ill stop stressing once the moneys in my account.
