wife was driving when we leathered the r8 ! maybe wasnt trying that hard but it goes hard for sure ! we almost bought a VE SS. deposit paid , the lot. the dealer let us down so we bought the 50th.
quite possibly the manual against what i reckon is a crap auto in the VE had something to do with it but the xr6t can get up and boogie for sure ! hated the auto in the SS we drove. jumped 2 gears and revved out when one gear would have been enough !
more hp than the SS and more torque. 566nm at 1800 rpm ! from there its a hard pull to the red line but not needed ! very smooth power but ballistic !

i dunno i'd say it would have to be pretty close in a roll on with a 317 and xr6t manual? not sure about off the line.

We had never owned an auto till we came to OZ in 08 so a manual was always going to be the chosen one ! very very rare car, lightning strike 50th anniversary XR6T manual. as far as i am aware, there are no others in QLD and unsure of how many were made in total ? . unlike the VE SS or 317's. something different !

dunno about the holdens ? but since there were only 600 50th anny xr6t's, 550 of which auto, It will be safe to assume the chances of finding a silver manual will be very low don't you think ?

holdens are being made year on year, the 50th anny ford is exactly that, a 2010 car not to be repeated ! I see 317's almost every day, not rare afaik and shit loads more $$$ for what ???

dont get me wrong, If i had the money, I'd have a VE SS wagon in the drive for sure !

Wheels, body kit slightly changed, reverse sensors, full leather, dual climate, premium sound, polished black dash inserts, steering wheel and little shit like stickers and different mats and shit.

Good deal I think, my old mans was 47k drive away.
