lol yes, was hoping to get a few more bites :P The colour coded stuff could have pointed to a Ghia too.
If someone got all of that info, they would have surely got a rego plate too.
That EL gli is only a file photo to give the public a very general idea, it could be an EF.

Exactly! It sparks up the hoon crack down for a bit, then it will go back to normal. Highly doubt there was "street racing" if its an EL and a standard looking Civic. Could of just been a freak accident caused by someone not judging oncoming cars speed.
I see it every day, people pulling out in front of cars doing 100km/h with cm's to spare between being nailed.

It's sad for the victim but so shit that it happened on the Prinny as like discussed above they will really crack down for the next few week's. Also for any of us with more obvious mods. Especially if it was 2 idiots racing stockers and being dicks bringing a bad name to the drags.

Was talking to my next door neighbour just before, he used to be a cop and knows a few still, apparently they worked out who it is within the last couple of hours because only one red Falcon used EastLink in that area just before or after the crash. Although he went on to say they won't get him until tomorrow morning, so they can watch if he brings himself in before then, which made me wonder.

This one isn't a joke btw :P

I know where it was now, I drive down there some afternoons. That 'hill' is nothing, the Maroondah Hwy from Lilydale has heaps worse hills/blind corners leading up to traffic lights, for example. It's the fact that most 'drivers' (I use that term loosely) in the Dandenong area are Shit, capital S Shit.

Eastlink is a fair few minutes drive from that intersection, they can't prove that it was him just based on the fact a similar coloured car driving down a road 5 minutes away around the time of the accident. If they really think they're going to pick him up for that his lawyers already laughing.

Whoever it was won't get away with it. Only a matter of time b4 he's caught.
I'll put money on it that whoever it was is guilty of one or more of the following..
Suspended drivers licence OR
Un-Registered vehicle OR
Drunk at the time of the accident OR
Drug affected at the time of the accident OR
Doesn't hold a licence to begin with.....OR, all of the above.

OK, for a second think about this senario.

Two vehicles proceed through an intersection in a safe manner.
One vehicle from opposite direction, triesto beat them through and speeds as they turn.

Collision occurs between turning vehicle and one straight vehicle. Other vehicle continues on their journey.

Eastlink is actually 2km from there, under 2 mins at the speed limit. There's obviously more information and eye-witnesses then has been released by the media, the police knew straight away they were looking for a red EL with tint. 2 eye witness reports and a photo of the car on Eastlink exiting at Princes, there will be one lawyer laughing, and it won't be the one Legal Aid supplies to the Falcon driver.

LTDHO - my thoughts exactly, since wen is it a law that u have to stop an exchange details if ur not invovled in the accident? granted a bit of courtesy might not go astray, but still.....he didnt HAVE to stop, im jus guna laugh hard wen its found that nothing was rong with the situatuion apart from poor judgement....maybe theyll put more effort into driver education......but noing our luk theyll jus drop speed limits an impose more penalties

not that its right, but if its the 60 area, then most people are still doing 80 through there anyway, and tend to slow down near the dandenong shopping centre lights.

Unless they have an eye witness or 3 that saw it get off at eastlink and then followed it the whole time and can say 100% without a doubt it was the same car it doesn't mean anything. That's like saying a black eb does something 3 blocks from my house and having a witness say it drove off in the direction of my house then having the cops spot my car out the front and presuming guilty.

if he did get off Eastlink, there will be tons of camera footage of it, that beats an eyewitness. Like I already said, there's already at least one witness too. Besides, when you have 4 big angry cops interviewing you about something you did, unless you were a character on underbelly, you'd be shitting bricks, and it only takes one slipup to get fucked up.

If your example happened, you would become a suspect yes.

If 60 i cant seeing a car only going 60 doing as much damage as was done to AUrion

That road turns into 60 not long before the intersection and then down to 40 for the roadworks.

2 cars side by side is hooning now, if the Falcon was in front he might not of just missed being driven into by the Aurion, and the Civic has nailed it.
It really should have a No Right Turn sign there as you can see at the best of times.
