ECU Reset

Postby Intercepted_AU » June 12th, 2011, 5:27 pm

So I just reset the ECU on my AU1 4L going by the a/c on 2 minutes rinse and repeat method and then drove like a maniac (on non public roads) for 10 minutes to let it learn.

Seems to be much more responsive, smoother, much better startup and even sounds slightly throatier. Is this how you generally reset ECU or?

You don't need to drive like a maniac..
You drive at all different levels of throttle so the ECU can re-learn everything properly...

You really won't notice too much mate...

Desire isn't driven by the heart, the mind or the wallet. Desire comes from another place. It's created by the smell of burnt fuel under full throttle and the look a car gives you when you're washing it alone at night...
