Let the WD40 sit for a few hours, and try some gentle knocks on the thread.

It's been a while since I've done one, does the fuel filter have male or female ends? If they're female you could hacksaw along the length of it carefully, enough to get a small screwdriver or chisel into the hole, then open up the female end.

There shouldn't be an issue if the spanner is on right, and is the right size, 19mm on the fuel filter and 14mm on the line, and just crack it. Should need wd40 or anything.

i had one round off using pipe spanners.
Used wd40 then a vice grip to get it off.

I give the flats of the nuts a few big thumps with a hammer first, helps 'crack' the lock on the thread.

Then usually I use vice grips (carefully but tightly) on the fuel line nuts, I don't even bother with spanners because as you've all noticed, they just round the nuts anyway.

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

Yeah I used my sidchrome spanners, and they rounded off on me as well.

I used good quality multigrips with bars on the ends of the handles for more leverage to get mine off... and I still found it hard to squeeze the grips together tight enough to loosen the nuts.
