5.0 Mustang Vs 6.2L Camaro

I found this video amazing. As far as im aware this is the same coyote motor in NA form as is in the falcon racing against a 6.2 LS motor. This shows how much potential is in fords new V8. HSV must be crapping their pants, soon there will be the turbo 4 falcon which is going to be faster than an SV6 with better fuel economy too.

Checklist:

Best V8 = Ford
Best 6cyl setups = Ford
Best 4 cyl large sedan = Ford
Best gearbox = Ford (ZF - I dunno about manuals)
Best looking performance range = Ford by a huge margin, who could love an E3??
Best 'Bang-for-buck' performance mods = Fords boosted range.

This is all real world stuff rather than your typical 'Well why does holden always win bathurst then?'

Just realised its a little over a year old. Either way though its still the same coyote V8 spanking an LS motor and its not even boosted. Apparently it has 412 Hp which is only 307kw and its got a massive lead over the camaro there.

yeah i saw this a while ago but still impressive apparently that n/a engine will go in the xr8 if they continue them.

Nice to see some actual numbers in the second video. Mustang seems to have a decent weight advantage to achieve four tenths faster down the quarter mile with the same horsepower. Good result. :good:
