Question

Postby Simo » July 30th, 2011, 12:40 am

So im looking at lowering my car(ford ef) and I was wondering if I got superlows with short shocks all around on standard xr wheels(16") with low profile tires, will I still clear the 100mm??

I would read this first

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=144

Then I would search other threads about the topic.

Use the correct profile of rubber on 16" XR rims.

Superlows drop a car around 2inches I think 50mm so measure your car from ground to sill and take 50mm off that, my mate ed had sl's in the front of it and the crossmember sat 65mm off the ground

If your worried about being defected for too low, just keep the car clean and 1 full set of wheels on it and dont mix and match wheels, I.e 17's on the front and stockies on the rear, thats the sorta shit coppers love

If everything lights up you're done. If it's on fire you probably should have taken it to an auto electrician.

My EA has superlows and 18s and it just clears 100mm.

I have 17's on my EB with superlows all round, I think it's just between 95mm and 100mm. Well it's passed a roadworthy with superlows somehow anyway :S
