LOL, I wish, if they paid that well I'd have the fastest E series ever to go around a circuit.
For all of its titles, this company is mainly interested in hiring enthusiasts to produce the editorial content, so we're all here because we live and breathe our respective topics. Lots of other jobs pay better, not many are this enjoyable though.

You need to move to Melb :P

Do you have an update of when last years cruise for charity will be published? Pics were sent to Roy 2 weeks post the event Nov 2010 but Pete hasn't heard back yet. :(

You need to move to Parramatta-ish (I'm not joking, in the Motoring team we have writers that moved here from Qld, ACT and even SA).

Wait, what? Have we still not run that? I'll ask Roy.

Erm, no, sorry (although I sense you already knew that :D ).

If you like meeting people and seeing the cars up close, it'd be pretty hard to beat.
One of the Extreme/Zoom writers recently progressed from writing to in-house photographer for the performance motoring team; he'd proven himself by doing very good freelance shoots on the weekends. Another in-house photographer did a similar thing by progressing from web editor, to tech and feature writer in the mag, to photographer; proving himself by photographing events.

Since you live in FNQ, there's also the possibility of becoming a freelancer (we have people who will travel but none that live that far north)

We've filled one position but it looks as though another is about to open up (the number of AME issues is set to increase which will mean Matt won't be able to write for us for much longer), so get your applications in ASAP if you're keen.
