Isn't DIN an industry standard? If you car has a double DIN slot this should fit.

I thought so too. But one of the players on the site is 6.95inch and it says it is the most standard double din size so is the better choice. But since theyre a cheap brand i want the most expensive in the range so yer. Now im just confused..

That'd be the screen size. Wouldn't make a difference to the size of the actual unit.

Its the depth that is the issue. heres how it sits in my au, granted the AU fascia piece is curved.

Otherwise it fits height and width fine.

yeh its a bit of a pain.

I have seen a Sony double din fit in very well before in an AU. So maybe a better quality one will be shallower and hence fit nicer.

They may be cheap but they accepted a warranty claim even after i cut off the unused wires at the back with scissors LOL.

I havent had any hardware issues with them over the years, only thing is they use older chips so the processor is quite slow when loading GPS. And some of the interface is slap-dash. BUT for a saving of over $1000 ill take the el-cheapo. Thats on an older car anyway. Might go better if I have a nicer car.
