2006 BF2 Turbo

Postby Gozza » September 12th, 2011, 5:50 pm

Hey guy, i just picked up myself a new car today, well not new but yeh.

As the title states its a 06 BF Xr6t completely stock. I was looking at a few and a couple had been modified running more boost and exhausts etc, i chose this because its only got 52,000 ks on it. Ill happily drive it around for a while but compared to my Turbo EB its not exactly spritely but its acceptable.

Plans will eventually be lowering, 19's and despoilering, and some basic go fasts like bigger cooler, turbo back exhaust and a tune.

GLORIA IS MINE :D

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

Yay, that will be good for down the track.
Rollin has shown interest in the EB, sad to see it go, but if he takes ownership it would be only natural as he built 95% of it hehe.

Nice mate, Get a dump and cat instead of exhuast and you will gain more power plus have better spool up :D for less $$ and its best to go to ford and check about the rods/ springs as there were alot of mixing n matching in late 05-06 builds. If i remember correctly its something like 11/05 had the phoon spec springs and 04/06 got the first phoon rods. proof being my april 06 bf II with the rods n valve springs :D But for arond 3k u can have over 300rwkw :D have fun!

06/06 was the change over to the F6 bottom end. 04/06 got the old stuff. Springs, AFAIK are a hit and miss until FG.

I went into Ford and got them to go through their system and tell me when the changeovers were. Popular belief is 06/06 for rods but the system said otherwise. I was told i have the F6 rods. Ill get a printout next time i roll in :D I Checked I had the phoon gear b4 I bought my car. jason at blacktrack (rx engineering) said he has seen so many different combinations of rods/springs/dates u cant tell without handing ford ur VIN lol

 You do realise that the between here and AFF there are plenty of current and ex Ford employee's? Actual employee's who know what they are on about. 07/06 onwards is the only time you will have F6 rods as a definite. Ford cannot tell you what rods are in the car until it is pulled down though.

of course i realise that mate, im just going by what Ford and my tuner told me. Why the smartarse comments mate? all I was pointing out is that there were mixes of rods/dates combos etc that were inconsistent with the dates that ford or whoever came out with 06/06. peace.
