oh yeah... bit of an update, got the car back the other day, put the xr8 bonnet on got the new fuel gear, braided lines, fuel reg, rail etc all fitted and retuned with a built motor. Put a catch can in it too now. Will prob repolish the rocker cover to match the shiny fuel rail we polished up. Currently making about a 450ish on 23psi as I need a boost controller to go more boost. Looking for an eboost2 atm so if you know anyone selling one cheap tell them to PM me.

Once i get that in ill get it retuned to 28/29psi. Will max out the current turbo setup which will hopefully be sufficient for a 9's pass.

Hear is a photo the engine bay. Ill take some more pics today. (And yes I will be replacing that hose on the top of the crank. Was just wacked there to get me by for last night lol)

mind you it was gutted to the shitter. Like no seats, no interior trim etc.... prob shaved like 100kg or so. Im pretty sure 450 through my convertor in my street trim might net me a 9.9x. So once i get the eboost ye no worries with the 9.

I personally think its tuff if I pull up next to a car and see ET Streets on it. I shit myself if i see a 4wd with all round semi's! lol

pics are fine. Must be your end.

still running stock manifold. If i can run a 9, then i wont be changing anything. Bonnet is a proper steel bonnet so prob added a few kg over the xr6 bonnet.

Motor has arias pistons, argo rods, arp bolts/dtiveplate strengthener, billet pump gears and about $1000 in stupid fittings! Bloody hell those things add up. -6/-8 45/90 degree bends are like $35/40 each and not to mention all the braided lines i put on the fuel system etc!

Mind you im also still on still trying it all on stock cams. If i cant get the 9, ill get some crow cams and try again.

has a new reco diff in it 30,000km was no damaged but new seals/service etc was done before we put it in. Has done maybe 500km so far on it. Only thing in the rear that is changes is SSLs in the back. People have run mid 9s with standard rear end. But usually bust not long after. I just want to run 2x 9s (i belive you must back the result so its not 'a fluke') and i wont take it to the drags again then its just for fri/sat's :D

I bought an AMS1000 boost controller (instead of the eboost2) and booked in next thurs for retune with 27-29psi tune. Hopefully get close to 500rwkw. Id be happy with 470rwkw and count 30rwkw as convertor loss! lol

I doubt it will make 500rwkw. If it was a manual, maybe. people have gotten 420-430 with this turbo. But without e85 and other small bits. Either way see what happens. Happy to show people what this turbo setup is capable of and not needing to spend massive funds on a turbo setup if all they want is 500rwkw. Im more chasing the 9sec full street trim pass over the dyno.

eboost2 is 800$ and ams1000 i got for 950. Was worth the other 150$ when i will save time it takes apparently to setup the eboost2. Has a whole bunch of features that will help me out on the 1/4mile. Unleashing boost over a certain time frame, boost of the line, creeping etc etc. I understood a good chunk of the explanation. All the big boys use these yet im far from them.

nos will be on the cards at some stage. I got everything else for it!

67rce, i dont drive it every day. I just cruise/weekends or drive to mates places with it.

why would that matter?? not every single XR6T owner has to be a mechanic do they?? some people are just car enthusiasts and just enjoy driving

lol. im sure only like 20% of people on this forum do everything themselves.

Mind you i done alot of the work myself. Not tuning and not bottom end build. Fuel rail is cake but had to be done whilst at the mechanic. You get others who dont do anything to their cars!

Also im not a mechanic or even a tradie.

Lol yeh i no what your saying man,You go on the xr6t forums and theres guys with 500+rwkw cars and dont even no what injectors there running in there car

if you own an e-series you obviously don't have money to splash at somene for anything you can afford to buy to start with.
the XR6 forums gives me a fucking headache though, i read a few threads and felt more retarded for doing so.

icer, please spend less time on the XR6 forum, this is clearly where you are catching aids from.

does it really matter?? Im a Diesel fitter and spend everyday bar some wknds rebuilding engines/trans/diffs yet i chose not to rebuild my own engine or changed diffs out. My reasons 1 i dont have time and 2 after 12hr days doing rebuild(never plain sailing) last thing i feel like doing is F*king around with my car for hrs. Not that i pay ppl to do everything.. i service my own car and all just dont see how this makes me less of a car enthusiest?? or my car not as good as anothers... em i missing the point?
