Rigs of Rods

sounds odd... but its an open source vehicle physics simulator.

it looks like it was originally built for truck simulations, but its been expanded to do all sorts of vehicles. (Cars, planes, helicopters, boats)

Theres some very impressive stuff in there, if you're really keen you can use its nods and beams logic to create your own chassis/suspension/steering geometries

Going to have more of a look at it when i get a chance.

nice find! lol, in that 1st vid at the start of it, the battered metal part looks like an EA-ED :P

yeah, its not meant to be simple, but theres a lot of potential.
i wouldnt mind making up an eseries chassis to play with :P

Lol, try and make it so you can export from falcon builder into it =D. Not asking for much haha

I assume you'll be able to convert stuff from 3ds easily enough.
I wanna go home and check this out lol. Spewin my wheels/pedals are all in SA still.

not sure about 'easy'
seems theres a bit of work in getting it to work with the various other aspects of the game.

all of the 'real' stuff is in config files, like building the chassis and suspension links, the engine charecteristics etc.
but theres some nice damage modeling too, i'm deffinately keen to try and get a model in there to try it out.
