sorry mate so many ideas going around my head im not 100% sure yet, thinking ill go ef/el motor making a low mount log style manifold to suit stock ba turbo gear. well its just a plan at the moment will take a while, probably should be saving to buy another house first but oh well.

So heres how the car sits now
Image

So i picked up my turbo gear for the wagon on the weekend and thought i'd have a play dummying up the gear on an e-series motor. :P

Photos show the story,
No need to be captain obvious here but the ports are definately massive on the ba's compared with the e-series,
but what did suprise me was how well everthing else will fit up e.g. people wanting to run standard ba turbo crossover pipe fits like a glove and will mount to bbm manifold i beleive at this stage, dump pipe should clear etc etc. (none of this is proven 100% but looks promising)

The main issue i can see is clearing the water pipe running beside the block, will try my best to keep clear when dummying up the manifold but could be close. (It may look like things dont fit that well as im saying but i had to put 1 bolt in to hold the manifold on temporarily, so the manifold should sit about 20mm towards the front of the motor/also be on straight not on an angle)

I thought the b series ports wouldn't work? Being oval wouldn't the top and bottom not cover enough? If you get what I mean?

Otherwise if you get the b series manifold to fit and work. Please be sure to share how :)

ah, i was always thinking they were the same width and not as tall. glad to be wrong and know that they are more then big enough to work on the ports. just the stud holes that are gay then lol.
