Hey all, my name is John and i live in the Brisbane area. I have a 97 EL Falcon Futura that i bought stock as a rock. I've done a few things.I tinted the windows. I've put on a 2 1/2inch sports exhust with a high flow cat. Pod filter with custom induction pipe and a BA GT air intake pipe. It has XR6 wheels and has been lowered 2inches. I put a rear spoiler and a set of side skirts on it, and for some finishing touches on the outside i have a couple of stickers and some blue LED lights. As for inside i've got some racing pedals with blue LED lights, a shorter racing gear stick.(auto) Some blue bits on the dash, blue intierior lights and dash lights. For the sound system i have a Pioneer head unit, 2x 300w Pioneer 6x9's, 200w component splits, a 10inch 1000w sub in the rear shelf, a 600w 12inch sub in a box and a Pioneer amp. i Currently have 2x 10inch subs in a box and another 1000w amp to put in, and i also have a dvd player and screen to install.
Well thats it for now, but i have plenty more to do when i get some money flowing and can find a mechanic that i can trust around here. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the club John. Heaps of experienced people on this site that should be able to help you with any questions.

Jake: there's a hole in the metal of the shelf there already from memory. just cut out the carpet and wood.

Yeah it'll be the hole that the factory premo sound system uses for the 8" sub.

Hey jake, there is a hole for an 8" sub in the shelf but i had to do a little cutting to fit in the 10". sorry no pics just yet. i didn't cut the hole in the carpet so it can't be seen by theives. i'll take a couple of photo's of it on the weekend for ya so u can see how i cut it.

Now for my question to any1. my EL starter motor is fucked, will the 1 out of my xb work on the EL? And is it worth thinking about putting a supercharger on my EL its an auto 6cyl?

By the way cheers for the welcome

Yeah I was thinking about putting a shelf sub in, then thought the 8" hole is too small, then I thought of cutting a 10" hole in the shelf but I'm not sure what to cut the 8" hole out with with? jigsaw with metal blade? grinder? lol
Did you try it on its own with the other 4 speakers (no other subs) cos I want to know how it sounds...
Photos sound good, thanks :D

I'm not sure about the starter motor, does it look the same with the same wires and stuff? I'd try it if it fits strait in.
Why not a turbo? Should ask Rmyers he has a supercharged EA, EB or ED. :)

Hey Jake, the way i cut it was with some tin snips, i put a few cuts in it and bent the flaps back. i'll take some photo's tomorro. i first had it going with just the 1 sub and the speakers and it sounded pretty f#k*en awsome. i had it running off a 4ch 600w pioneer amp. my 2 6x9's ran off 2ch's and the sub ran off the other 2ch's. with the front speakers running off the head deck. hope that helps. i'll get the photo's up 2morro so u can see how i cut it.
