Ok, next one:

What is the base ignition timing settings (in degrees) for both I6 and V8?
(i.e. X degrees before or after TDC)

I personally think Dave should get the points there. :P

I didn't believe you Steady, but it's written in the manual in black and white: Tickford Suspension: Toe-in/out - 0 +/- 1.5mm (ZERO preferred)
How odd. I guess they figure if you buy an XR you are gonna know how to drive.
Standard car is 3.0mm toe in optimal.

hehe, reason that sticks in my mind is cause I had an argument with a guy when I booked my car in for a wheel alignment and I asked for XR specs, and he swore black and blue they were the same as standard.

I have been led to believe FMS stands for Ford Mazda Sanyo.
So I am gonna guess Ford + Mazda + Sanyo. ;)

relocation of fuel & boot release buttons? (more of a recession into the dash)

EFII Ghias had the XR6 drivetrain

Real woodgrain vs fake woodgrain

Umm, that's all I can think of
