Perfect offset

Postby oneredED » February 17th, 2012, 9:58 am

Hey guys, stumbled across this BA XR8 in the city, and had to take a pic.
It's running Work Emotion rims on the front with what I consider the perfect offset! Heaps of lip, great stance. Spoke to the owner, wasn't too annoyed when he busted me taking a pic haha.
Anyone else got pics of an au/ba/bf ute with a similar 'jap rim big offset' look? I've always wanted to get rid of my Revo's and go a high offset black TE37 style rim, but wasn't sure how it'd look til now.

Yeah I'm not surprised he got pulled over! The poor quality pics don't do it justice, it stands out like dogs balls and just screams tough.

hey all,
new here so hey. thats my XR8 ute!

to the OP, sorry mate i never got your name? wasnt annoyed about the pics mate dw :)
and yes im a highway regular, on stock xr8 wheels now, 3 cops thought they would make my night giving me a defect :/

wheels on the car are :
work emotions - 18x10 +17 up front and XXR 521's 18x10 + 15 on the rear.
so yeah this is my work ute and yes there is a herrod sticker on the ute haha, has herrod cams / exhaust / interior / suspension and the rest.
makes a healthy 260rwkw for now!

i'll add some more pics of the ute later, need more stanced utes / fords i reckon !
for anyone that cares, look out for this on the highway too, this is my other car, 1990 nissan 300zx-tt i built from the ground up.
should be set to make 350ish rwkw.

We can't all drive around with sunken hovercraft looking fitment!

It's like why waste your money on your eb, go buy a pre-turbo car rather than turbo one yourself..
Because YOU like it yeah? Same as mine, i like the look, others do too! I Couldn't care less what you think Really, don't like it don't post, go have a fap ul sleep easier..

Ha, can't believe the owner found the thread! Tough as looking ute mate, and it was good meeting ya!

I'm just tired of everyone running either a wheel from a higher spec or newer model falcon. Don't get me wrong, some can look great but it's just not for me. Don't even get me started on chrome-dinner-plate wheels.

I was actually looking at the XXR 521's as an option, but could only find them in a +25 fitments. I'd be interested if anyone's got pics of the sedan on P45R2's, as that was my other choice next to a TE37 copy.

Kester's BA looks good, but really needs more width to pull off the look properly. The way it sits is kinda what I was worried about with trying it on my ute, it's ok, but not quite all the way there.
