Wreckers bargain thread

Thinking we should do some sort of thread similar to the eBay one or just add it to it

I went to imlachs today pick a part wrecker

Picked up Ed ticford nose n mint lights for 250!

Also saw they had a set of 4 Koya octanes 18 inch the nice chrome ones with very good tyres for 500

got front and rear adjustable swaybars, front and rear bilstein shocks, and front and rear king springs (With the higher spring rate) from ftg auto salvage for 700 about 3 years ago.. prob my only good wrecker find other than the free connector plug etc that might happen to slip into my pocket lol

dylan has the best luck with wreckers lol

Not really a wrecker purchase but I bought the EL GT steering wheel in my car for $300. It was a NOS item, still in the box! And I just picked up a NOS EL GT gear knob for $60 lol.

got a vapour injection system for a total of $13 although some of it was pocketed :p
i got my XR grille and lights for $275 from centre road altough not as nice as oldmate josh_ef, the **** wouldnt budge on price lol.
my next bargain will be an AU XR6 VCT head for $50
prob been a few others, i frequent the wreckers alot haha

Umm I havnt been there in about a week, last time I was there at the greens rd one there wasnt a great deal. Picked up some df ltd wheels awhile back at jollys fairly cheap, $200 for a set of 5

Was a average leather velour ghia interior there Saturday

Went in today and some abo ripped the wood grain off

Pisses me off when they ruin door trims to do that

Not sure if it's still there but about 2 weeks ago I was at Deer Park wreckers and saw a navy blue fairlane with mint full leather seats and door trims, was considering it but I like my leather/velour seats too much.

Not bad, in the range of fords it's average, have seen a few good things here and there though. Not 100% sure what you mean by pick a part though haha

Went to Jolly's in Dandy today, nothing special.

Pick a part means u can go there and grab what u want yourself, alot of other wreckers you goto the front counter, tell them what your after and they go get it for you.

unless its changed, its a pick a park type wrecker, although parts prices werent as available, you had to ask.
but i havnt been there in years.

Oh yeah then it is a pick a part Tyronne haha I've never been to any other sort of wreckers, just this one, Jollys and pickapart.

the shell needs a lot of work, but the doors were complete and rust free (power windows and everything still there) and its still got the factory lsd diff and esp master cylinder, unfortunately no scheels though

Theres a black EB ghia at Imlachs centre rd. All doortrims bar drivers side look brand fucken new, and so does the passenger seat. Full leather too!

there was also an au v8 fairlane over the other side last weekend i went there

the top half of explorer manuifold was just on the ground near car, motor was gone tho but trans was there

My scores include, the front and rear springs and shocks in my car for $50, picked up a chrome handbrake button for free, a driver's side au IRS hub, rotor, handbrake setup and 3/4 or a d/s axle for $35,

Not so much a wreckers score but picked up my pacies high flow cat and full 2.5" exhaust for $150, the spooled 3.45 diff and Ef ghia wheels for $200
