That's the sort of pic i was after, i haven't decided on what front and rear bars im using , ie: 3/4 or full. With the pic from LOW_XR the car needs aftermarket bars to suit the "no moulds" look.

Anyone else got some pics/

The only bars that would come close to suiting it are the Scorcher bars... even then, it looks hollow...the actuall street machine EA used custom side moulds...

It just looks unfinished

Thats the sort of thing im after.

I going for a different look to how the car was a few years back.

The old was a black EB XR8, the new is a black ED XR with sunroof so im starting with a blank canvas and filling in the gaps.

Here is some pics from years ago.

No thats a 91 EB XR8 with ED lights and grille, modified GT bar, cosworth style bonnet vents, sprint style skirts and rear bar.

That bonnet now has BA Bulge, rear bar is now in rollin's possesion and the rest of the car is looking sad in my shed.

well a sprint badge in a fairmont garnish, but you were close. Done so much to it so long ago you forget the little shit.

The original is really only going to donate some wiring, the auto, the line locker and not much else.

I did it on my EA. I originally took them off to paint, but never got around to putting them back on! They suit the Scorcher bar. Unfortunately the rear bar isn't such a good match.

You could go with scorcher front and rear bars, then get some perspex made up to fill the recesses....that way its smooth...but not unfinished looking...

I did it to my EB and personally wan't my thing, especially as I had the red stripe in the bars. I prefer Fairmont GHIA type. I.e body colour with the chrome stripe. Here is some pics while I had it like that...

I like the idea of the scorcher bars as i need a front one to clear the FMIC, if i use 3/4 bars they will have the strips in the bars, if i use full bars no strips and it could work.
