Nice buy dan, it's good to have a car for just getting around and not having to worry too much about it.

Yeah its good. I came home after being away 4 wheel driving last night and it started first go and the air con cranked into life straight away. The EA gave me nothing.

$1000 well spent.

Gotta organise a front passenger side guard in the same colour if anyone knows of anything? Pick a part near me didnt have anything, neither did just falcons.

Once that is swapped over Ill clean it and take it for a RWC.

I washed the engine bay last night and it came up looking a treat. No dizzy ftw too. It didnt run like crap afterwards.

Its going in for a RWC today or tomorrow if Dad can book it in. I havent done anything to fix it up but I know the brakes need doing because they shudder, the exhaust is leaking, a globe needs replacing in a headlight and the trans is a bit strange sometimes. Not sure if the trans flaring up a few hundred rpm while cruising and it making the car nearly stall when slowing down on the odd occasion is a RWC thing though.

There is an oil leak from the engine somewhere too which Ill get sorted later on. Ill pull the motor to fix the leaks, fit an oil drain and replace the torque convertor. The TC might be causing my trans dramas.

I know bradman posted up a link somewhere for a company doing BTR high stalls for about $400 - might be worth a look, certainly livens things up combined with some diff gears.

Got the EF back from getting a RWC yesterday.

It only needed little stuff.

Windscreen, front brakes, new exhaust as both mufflers are leaking, nuts tightened at the seat buckles and a clean up of the oil leaks.

I put new calipers, discs and pads on the front today and cleaned up the motor a bit. I think the sump gasket will need replacing but it should pass the RWC as is now. Ill get the rest of it done over the next week or so.

I also put a new speedo transducer in to see if it would fix my weird behaving trans and it did'nt help. :( The notchy speedo is fixed though so it wasnt a complete waste of time.

It could be the convertor that needs replacing so that will get done when the engine is out. Ill take it to a trans place to make sure of it though.

All the RWC stuff has been done now. Its booked in Thursday to have the certificate written up.

I threw a 2.5 inch cat back exhaust on it and fitted the headunit that was in the EA on the weekend.

Once its lowered which will likely happen next weekend and the windows are tinted it wont get modded any further. :)

pics to come once my panels are matching.

Nah modified cars are shit. Modified 4wd's and houses are where its at. :D

LSD, barwork and a front locker for the maverick then it will be time to buy a house. My sister and I will likely buy something that we can rent out while living at home to start with.

She has lots saved and I dont. : /

Picked up some cheap pacemaker comp headers on fordmods for $150.

NA mods are so cheap.

Nah, 4wd's dont need to be fast.

I would only turbo it if it was deisel. I'd put a deisel in over doing mods to the motor in it. Water crossings are better when you dont have a dizzy.
