most i've run was 11psi, no issues to report.
but theres a lot that can be done to 'assist' a stock bottom end, such as head shims/double gaskets, E85, water/meth injection.

so the answer will be different depending on a lot of factors.

a bloke i know has a eb with 15psi head work but untouched bottom end
so my brother started a budget build or should i say ghetto build he is running 18 psi and getting 246kw all that we have done to it was the double head gasket it seems to be holding together :beg: for now anyway
he wants to add nitrous and i think he would be pushing it to far

18psi for 246rwkw just shows there are some big restrictions.

Does anyone remember the constant threads back in the day saying stock AU motors could handle 32psi?

ran 22psi through ea race car on a 130,000km ef bottom end....did lots of dyno time and about 200 1/4mile passes with a best of 10.1s. only engine mods were regrind cam, valve springs & au mls head gaskets. Only died when it had a hiccup with fuel pressure... piston looked a lot like needforspeed one.
