Need help!!

Postby doddsy99 » August 17th, 2012, 8:56 am

Ok I have a eb 5 speed 4l and my starter motor stopped starting so I got another working one from a wreckers and my car started once and then wouldn't I've tryed rocking my car in gear and hitting the starter and still nothing, any ideas on why it's not working and if it even is the starter motor? When I turn the key I can hear the starter motor click but not engage or spin. I would be thankful of any help.

should be under the exhaust manifold. also check the negitive terminal is on tight(aswell as all connections to that terminal clamp)

Bad connections on the battery. Flat battery. I usually relate just a click when you turn the key to the battery.
240rwkw, 6 speed manual wagon. Good times indeed.

Yeah your battery could just be flat
Otherwise check main earth to engine block, chassis and to the battery
Check positive from battery to starter motor

Are your dash lights dull when you try to start it? All the red lights?
