Hey ladies n gents got bored thought I'd start a new thread for my 6th Fairmont

General:

1997 EL Fairmont Ghia
Colour: Mocha Foam
Stereo: Factory Premium Sound Head Unit, Clarion 6" 3 Way Rears Kenwood 6" 3 way fronts Stock Tweeters, Venom Parcel Shelf Subwoofer

Engine:

AU Motor Conversion, EF Coil Pack Conversion, Camtech CT007845, Stock 270KPA reg, Au Injectors, Pacemaker 4499s 2.5" Exhaust, Bf intake piping with belmouth removed from airbox, J3 Chipped 150Rwkw, k&n pod in box - hektic!

Driveline

Stock Auto, Shifts Tightened through J3, Big Cooler bypassed around radiator, Red Diamond 2800-3000 Stall that only stalls to 2200
4.11 LSD

Brakes

DBA Slotted Front, DBA Standard Rear, Bendix General CT pads.

Suspension:

Stock Tickford EL height with Boge Turbo shocks front rear.

Wheels

Standard Ghia

Future Mods/Spending:
Replace Head unit with Double Din Pioneer touch screen with all the trimmings.
Bonnet needs a respray, Polish Rims.

Ran this thing down the 1/4 with my j3 tuning skills only got 15.2 at 92mph 2.2 60s got home thought fuc that added 5 degrees to the high revs and added fuel trimmed some timing down low did ping abit and after that it felt stronger so dyno run next monday see how it looks then get stall looked at then go back and run a 14 thats all im after.

Hey man i was looking in the other thread for this. Do you know how much you shortened the front of the sump by? And how much clerance you have?

Honestly man I couldn't tell you the exact measurements, I have some1 who does this for me... its basically a 45 degree angle from the top front of it...

clearance, shit tonnes. lol

Just did some more tuning on this thing, changed the intake piping to BA/BF, run on the dyno made 150rwkw from about 5200 -5800 power level stays even. Pretty happy.

Plan, get the stall replaced for one that stalls to 2800 and get Genuine 3.9s so far quoted $1250 for the diff rebuild.
anyone know any good diff shops in south QLD.... I was quoted from Diff and Gearbox industries at wilston.

Lol well its getting 3.9s ive decided the stall issue is being sorted as thats not costing me, when I blow the auto then likely manual but I dnt want t5 I want tremec hydraulic, as I want to T04e it later

Thanks dude, Aussie Diffs gave me a way better price. He is charging $300 for labour against $600.......(thats me taking the stripped diff down to him without axles) $950 with new hob 3.9 gears fitted and lsd tighten i think is good, cant wait to do circles lol
