Melitta - Boosted E-Series Support Vehicle

The ED has been giving me the craps lately, leaks too much oil, paint is crap, suspension is retarded, not enough leather seats, not enough power etc., so it's time to put the effort in and turn it into the car I've always wanted. Figured the best place to start would be buying a ute.

Introducing Melitta, 2006 BF XL.




Photography isn't my strong point.

Cruise control, electronic stability control, 4 speaker stereo, automatic climate control, hub caps, carpets - these are all options this ute doesn't have.

It did come in pretty mint condition, only a few minor paint scratches and a few nicks in the interior, 148000km, 6 months rego, 5 new tires, brand new exhaust. Paid $8900 drive away from a Skoda dealer, insured for $12400 .

Plans are to fit cruise control ($90 from ebay, fly by wire is win), carpet, auxiliary 3.5mm input kit for tunes, 2300kg tow pack, external tranny cooler, attempt to resist bolting a snail on the side of it.

A few refreshing experiences today running around town.

Drove next to a cop without clenching but cheeks.
Took a speed bump head on, exhaust still in tact.
12L/100km around town.

Cruise control kit and 3.5mm aux input kit arived in the mail yesterday arvo, put both in this morning but cruise won't turn on . Suspect the dealer didn't enable it in the PCM as I asked as part of the deal, will hit him up Monday.

Stuff that. 90% of the LPG threads on this forum are from kents having problems with it. Averaging 13.5L/100km petrol in heavy traffic, I'll live with it .
